When we got our order we had to wait on the car in front of us. Not sure why Chic Fil A thinks they need to remagine the drive through process but it's not working!

I placed an order and sat down to wait for my food to be brought to the table. I then saw an employee deliver my order to a completely different table. When I went up to the cashier to ask about it, they told me it had already been delivered. After I explained that it had not been brought to me, they admitted they made a mistake and gave my food to the wrong people. They told me they would remake the order, but the new order was never brought to my table. No one followed up, no one checked on the situation, and no one seemed concerned about correcting the mistake they made. I ended up waiting even longer and had to go back to the counter myself to ask for a refund because at that point we still had no food. What made this even worse is that I was there with my autistic son. Consistency and routine are extremely important for him, and situations like this can quickly become overwhelming. The confusion and the lack of care from the staff almost caused him to have a meltdown. Mistakes happen anywhere, but what was truly disrespectful was that no one on the staff took responsibility or made any effort to fix the situation or check on us. Being ignored after their mistake and having to chase down a refund myself was unacceptable. This experience was frustrating, stressful, and very disappointing. I hope management takes this seriously and trains staff to handle situations like this with more accountability and respect for their customers.
