My co-workers and I had the most amazing experience today at Cava. I can’t remember the lady’s name but she introduced herself to us today but her personality and energy was top tier. She invited the staff to come and have lunch on them today….and when I say delicious…it’s an understatement. The staff, the environment, CAVA IS A VIBE….will definitely be back.

I've been to this location a few times since they've open and had an ok experience, but today will be last visit. They have become very stingy with the portions, argumentative about how things can be added to the bowls, everything is an upcharge and the staff is rude and incompetent. I'll pass. Hopefully another Cava will open in Slidell. The one is Baton Rouge is 20 times better.

Today I placed my order 20 minutes before I got to work which is in the same parking lot as cava and my order wasn’t ready until 30 minutes after I had made it there. When I got it my rice was so undercooked that my bowl was inedible. Every single Sunday that I have gone it has been incredibly overcrowded and the food took forever.

I love the CAVA in Metairie, the food is great and the service is always fast and friendly. I was so excited when the Covington location opened. I went for the first time about two months after they opened. I live about 30 minutes away, so I don’t get there often. My online pickup order was wrong, so I had to bring the food back to the counter to have it fixed. They also forgot the extra tzatziki sauce I paid for, but they gave it to me when I asked. I figured they were still new and working out the kinks, so I planned to try again. One mistake isn’t a huge deal, especially since I caught it before leaving.
A few weeks later, I went back, same exact issue. My food was wrong and the side of tzatziki was missing again. At that point I thought maybe it was just an employee training issue. The food is good and I love it, so I brushed it off. On my third visit, I decided to go inside and order in person instead of using the app. Unfortunately, that experience wasn’t great either. The employees were very short with me and barely spoke, which made the interaction feel awkward and unwelcoming.
My fourth visit was the most frustrating. They missed all the toppings on my bowl, it was literally just chicken and lettuce. The employee apologized and fixed the toppings, but I didn’t check the bag before leaving. When I got home, I realized my tzatziki sauce was missing again.
At this point, it’s clear the location needs to improve how to-go orders are prepared and checked. Three pickup orders in a row were incorrect, and after four disappointing visits overall, it feels like there are consistency and training issues that need to be addressed. Orders should match what’s listed in the app, and items customers pay for should be included. What is the point of offering a side option in the app if it’s never included in the to-go order? I was already home when I realized it was missing, which made it even more frustrating. It’s disappointing because the food is great, but the repeated mistakes and unfriendly service make the experience feel unreliable.
I rarely write Google reviews, but after four bad experiences, I felt this one was deserved. Hopefully management sees this and can make improvements.

Employees are not knowledgeable of how the app works. Don’t pay to order ahead of time because you get placed at the back of the line despite new customers walking in and getting food quicker. So if you want to order it’s pointless to order via the app as you will have to wait longer than if you just walk in and get in line. Pretty ridiculous how they have the online ordering set up. What’s the point of ordering ahead of time? Now I have to go through a bunch of procedures to cancel my order in hopes to get my money back or you will have to dispute the charge with your bank. It looks like. Pretty ridiculous
