  Went in at 4:30PM to get a drink after working a 12 hour shift in the heat without eating. Figured I’d get me a sandwich something light to hold me over until dinner time. The only worker there proceeds to tell me that they are closed. Mind you it’s 4:30PM, prime time for people to get off of work. I looked up the business hours because I’ve never heard of a subway closing at 4:30 PM. I asked how long she would be closed, and basically told me until she was finished mopping. I can understand and respect that she is working alone as a previous employee at subway this would happen frequently. However, you are in the customer service industry. When a customer comes up to order , you stop what you’re doing and take their order. The floor will still be there to mop after my order is out. This is mind blowing to me considering I’ve been in her situation at the same company and I would have never told a customer I was “closed” because I need to mop so I can go home. The way that was handled would have been a write up from my boss no questions asked! I will absolutely never return to this location again. Whomever owns this particular location needs to be made aware that they are turning down customers at 4:30 PM. I understand this is a long review, but that’s because I’m hungry. Hopefully someone will read it and come up with a corrective action. This particular location needs to do better and train their employees! As a current business owner I would be pissed at my employee for turning money and a potential repeat customer away. Now they have lost a customer. Sincerely- A guy who was hungry and just wanted a dam sandwich!
