I visited this particular Wendy's location at 1:20 AM in the early morning hours of Sunday, December 28th, 2025. This specific location is supposed to be open until 2 AM tonight, as posted on their website and on Google. There were definitely employees there. At first, they refused to even answer us on the loudspeaker at all, as if to pretend they were closed... but then, as another car pulled in and chose to just go around us at the speaker and drive right up to the window to presumably find out what was going on, the worker FINALLY spoke to us through the speaker and said that they were "closed." I'm sorry, but this location was NOT CLOSED for the night--at least, it wasn't supposed to be for another 40 minutes..! This really upsets me because I had to go all the way to College Dr to make double sure that I would get my food, since the College Dr location is open 24 hours a day. I didn't want to take a chance of going to another Wendy's that is supposed to be open till 2 AM on the weekends, but the workers are too lazy to do their jobs so try to pretend the business is actually closed rather than serving customers, since they had 40 more minutes until the location was supposed to close for the night. I would really appreciate it if Wendy's on Sherwood would take a look at their schedule for the overnight shift of Saturday, December 27th-Sunday December 28th when they were supposed to close at 2 AM, and see which manager was on shift that allowed this to happen. I have worked in the service industry before for several years, and anywhere else I have worked would have ABSOLUTELY not tolerated this type of deception and laziness from the employees; I have actually seen a coworker literally fired for turning away a customer a mere 5 MINUTES before our scheduled closing time. I'm not suggesting anyone should necessarily lose their jobs over this, since I have a heart and the economy is in the toilet lately, but some sort of disciplinary action should absolutely take place so that this doesn't become a repeat issue in the future. If this particular Wendy's is supposed to be open till 2 AM on Saturday nights (thru till 2 AM on Sunday morning), then they should remain open during that time, otherwise these workers are literally the sole reason this Wendy's location is losing out on sales and losing money, since the labor costs for these employees to be there are being paid to them as their wages, but they aren't doing the work they were hired to do. I'm just curious as to which manager allowed this to happen; this wasn't closing a mere "few minutes early"--this employee closed the store AT LEAST 40 minutes before the scheduled closing time. Which means I had to waste MY gas to drive many miles out of my way to go to a 24-hour Wendy's off College Dr just to make absolutely positive I would actually be able to get my food. That costed me more money in gas than I can really afford currently, especially since the Christmas holidays have been costly for everyone and no one's money is going nearly as far anymore these days. I've never asked for anything like this before, but I would appreciate if a supervisor would contact me and let me know what is being done to resolve this issue and make sure it doesn't happen again in the future. That way I'm not wasting my gas or my precious time driving to this particular location if the employees who are getting paid to be there are refusing to do their jobs. Thank you in advance for your attention to this issue!
