First off, my server Cobe was very great and attentive. His service was probably the only shining star of the night. Waitstaff were seen on their phones while waiting and the interior was dark, dirty, and smelly. Hostess was also wearing sneakers at a place that should be fine dining. Tables were very bare and lacked necessary utensils and condiments. The complimentary bread and butter came late, and the butter was more like cream and had no flavor. Bread was decent as it was warm and fresh. I ordered the A5 Miyazaki Wagyu, Scallops with risotto, redfish on the half shelf, a wagyu burger, wagyu meatballs, chicken and sausage gumbo, and the mushroom appetizer. The A5 wagyu was ordered medium rare but delivered rare, which was acceptable. The scallops in my risotto were burnt, and had to be redone. The mushrooms as well. They also burned the roux for the gumbo and it was inedible. The burger was cooked well done and too overly salted and was borderline edible. The redfish was over cooked and a little over salted as well. They only ended up comping the gumbo, and offering a different side choice for the bitter and nasty mushrooms. Super disappointing experience. ——————————————— Alright second visit: the hostess/server Lindsey, was very attentive, checking up on us frequently while keeping our drinks filled, and was very friendly, and professionally dressed, A+ service. Yall should think about ironing table clothes because wrinkled ones, old chairs, etc, are all small details to pay attention to for a full “fine dining” experience; one of my knives was sticky on the small metal bottom part too 😂 The theme of the night for all the dishes ordered was inconsistency. From the appetizer(s) to entrees. My party of two ordered the foie gras on brioche, seared scallops over risotto, delmonico ribeyes, a black angus NY strip steak, and mac and cheese and pomme frites for sides. The brioche and apples part of the foie gras were excellent, perfectly cooked and prepared, but the foie gras had a nasty bitter, burnt taste to it, instead of the rich, meat butter-like taste I was expecting. The foie gras was also served room temp, but I think it should’ve been warm(?). The seared scallops, they used larger scallops this time while also reducing the amount of risotto, which was fine but the scallops were very inconsistent: some were burnt and bitter, while other perfectly cooked. The risotto was also too liquidy and soupy, almost like after they finished the risotto, they decided to pour butter on top, turning into a rice and soup. The mushrooms were otherwise cooked perfectly. Keep in mind that I ordered two of these dishes, and tried both, and the results were the same for both dishes (consistently inconsistent). The NY strip, I ordered medium rare, but probably would’ve been better as rare, but that’s on me. But the steak was very inconsistently cooked as well— half of it was very dry, and cooked closer to medium, while the other half was medium rare and juicy, cooked to order. It did have a good sear, and with the onion and a sauce, it made the dry part palatable. The two delmonico ribeyes I ordered had the same problem— one was ordered medium rare, and the other medium. It’s a big steak, so I can understand if it’s difficult to perfectly cook it, but it was a recurring theme in most of the food we ordered, with one side being overcooked or improperly cooked. Overall delicious because of the higher fat content, but again, small details when you are paying $77 each per steak. The crawfish tasso mac and cheese was good, better than last time, as they must have improved the recipe or had an off day last time. Very strong flavor of tasso cutting through some of the rich and creaminess of the cheese, with good texture and taste. Pomme frites was fine, the outside was very well done, with a nice outer texture, but the inside was very starchy, almost like a yucca fry, which, my friend liked. The taste of oil it was fried in seemed off to me. Improved from 1->3 ⭐️

A very pleasant girl works at the bar. I honestly don’t understand how she manages to handle such a large number of guests — she’s doing an amazing job. The bar itself is truly beautiful; you get real aesthetic pleasure just being there. The illuminated table looks especially stunning. My children ordered chocolate ice cream and chocolate cake — everything was very delicious. Very close by, just a few steps away, there is a lovely outdoor terrace where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the river. Overall, I highly recommend this place.
