Verona Vineyards is absolutely beautiful — the kind of peaceful, picture-perfect setting that makes you want to sit and stay awhile. The staff was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, which really added to the experience.
That said, the wine itself just didn’t hit the mark for us. We sampled a few and hoped for more depth and balance in the flavors. We also tried an appetizer that was tasty but felt overpriced for the portion size.
It’s a lovely place to visit and relax, especially for the scenery and atmosphere, but the wines and menu could use a little more to match the beauty of the setting.

Everything about this beautiful winery is magical! If you haven’t visited, you’re in for a small piece of paradise. And let’s just talk about the food with the recent arrival of chef David, a Chicago based talent with a list of prestigious awards and impressive career that includes owning and operating his own acclaimed café in the Windy City. The Wagyu Burger will melt in your mouth. It’s one of my favorites. And don’t get me started on the crabcakes! Don’t forget to check out the newly opened Cask and Cactus bourbon and tequila bar upstairs. This intimate Hideaway screams craftsmanship and flavor, with a curated selection of premium bourbons and tequilas. The views from up there are stunning. Definitely should check that out before heading out for the evening.

We showed up about 4pm yesterday. My husband and I drove 2 hours and my parent drove 2 hours to have a birthday dinner for my mom. When we got there, there was a table of 5 people outside, inside completely empty. We were greeted by a not so friendly lady who said “we’re setting up for tonight, so I guess we’ll put you over here.” Why be open for the public if you don’t have the capacity to serve them.
We ordered two bottles of wine, several appetizers, each of us ordered food and I ordered a flatbread for my baby.
We sat there for over 30 minutes and our waitress came over and said their kitchen printer wasn’t hooked up and they had just started our food. When our food finely came out, they didn’t have my one year old’s pizza. All of us finished our meal and still no pizza, I had to go ask for it and we were told “I didn’t know it didn’t come out”.no one ever came back to our table. I had to go ask for my check, almost $200. And they said my card declined twice, tried someone else’s card and theirs denied. Then we went to the front and I assume the owner started to apologize. I told her nothing she could do or say would make anything better we just wanted to pay and leave. They gave us 25% off, so my check was a little over $132. Which is sitting in pending TWICE on my bank account, hoping one falls off.

Showed up to have dinner and the whole place was reserved for a big party. Be sure that you make a reservation ahead of time.
Menu seems a little overpriced for you get. Options are very complicated the only simple food they have is on their kids menu. The Mexican street corn I got had barley any corn in it at all.

My husband and I visited Verona Vineyards two years ago, and that was our first and last visit. Today, I received a credit card notification that their store charged my card a few hours ago. How is that possible? I live in Chicago!
