Joe’s Crab Shack offers a variety of favorites from all parts of the sea and shore. From its extensive menu, guests can choose from buckets of seasonal seafood, fried shrimp platters and fish dishes, as well as options from the “mainland” that include steak, sandwiches, and chicken. Guests can indulge in over-sized and creative cocktails, such as the Shark Bite which is playfully garnished with a shark toy.
Since its inception, Joe’s popularity has stemmed not only from its menu, but also its retail store. With various pieces of merchandise for purchase, including the ever-popular tie-dye T-shirt with the phrase “Peace, Love and Crabs,” Joe’s has become synonymous with the word “fun.” Unforgettable moments await at our Louisville location and across the nation!
We came all the from Cincinnati to eat here for my birthday today! Our server was amazing, my steak and shrimp meal was phenomenal. The vibe and atmosphere was welcoming and chill. We ended up spending almost 4 hours sitting outside enjoying the weather drinks and food .

Despite my food being directly gluten cross-contaminated with a shared air fryer, I had a great time here!! The menu is marked gluten sensitive, so I thought I was safe from any obvious cross contamination (like a shared fryer?) however, my waiter, Joe, actually recognized this issue after I had become symptomatic. Props to knowledgeable waiters who notice these things!!! Joe will take care of you well 🫶🏼

We were a little worried when we were left sitting for a while… no one came to do Sri No borders or even to say they would be right with us.. finally someone noticed (probably because I was counting how many Joe’s people walked by without making eye contact or asking if we’d been helped…) Once we were noticed, we had a great server and we enjoyed our visit.

Joe’s Crab Shack in Louisville took a great memory from 2006 and absolutely boiled it to death. What I got was less a seafood pot and more a desperate potato-and-sausage rescue mission, with a few traumatized shrimp and some pathetic crab legs thrown in like an afterthought. Calling it a seafood dish feels generous.
Back in 2006, this place felt fantastic. Today, it felt like paying good money to watch nostalgia get mugged in broad daylight. The whole meal was a sad, overpriced mess that made me wish I had left this place in the past where it belonged.

What a waste of money haven't eaten at Joe's since mid 2000's but my nephew chose to eat there for his birthday march 28th, not only did we have to pay 20.00 to park because yum center had something going on, but I spent 50.00 on food that was inedible, tried to play it safe by ordering steak dinner with mashed potatoes and shrimp, I've been burnt on crab boils before here in louisville so I didn't want take a chance, anyway my steak was horrible shrimp on plate not fried completely had dough in middle shrimp scampi was tough like leather and 2 minutes in the butter froze over on them, once serves brought my party their seafood boils the girls serving didn't know whose boils belonged to who and one of our guests got hot sausages in her boil ,ceaser salad tasted sharp tasting like horseradish sauce do I need to farther, servers forgetting to give us straws and sauces for our meals it was a hot mess place needs to shut down you've ran your course over 100.00 in after paying for me and daughter's food parking and drinks, Joe's crabshack has left a sour note with me and our server Caleb did a great job making us feel comfortable during an uncomfortable night of dining, I will not return ever again to attempt to eat seafood, please don't waste your time
