There were 2 things right out of 12 things wrong. The "Manager", refused to disclose name, hung up on me 7 TIMES for 2 different phone numbers. Twice claiming he couldn't hear me BUT the person I spoke with prior had no issues. (Don't know her name but she was WONDERFUL!) [NOTE: When speaking with the young lady, the music was not as loud as all of the following calls. Turning that down would help.] On my mobile order, I specifically asked that the sandwiches be cut in half and labeled. One was cut, neither were labeled. I customized my sandwich, even paying extra for cheddar cheese. The sandwich has NO cheese at all. Asked for EXTRA pickles, only got 3. Asked for the horseradish sauce and extra mayo, only got horseradish sauce. There is no croutons, oil and vinegar. (This is WILD) I also asked that there be a note added to the receipt for the driver to collect a CASH tip to prevent it from getting taxed. [Location reference: With traffic, I live 10 minutes away.] The order took 30 minutes to get my delivery. I called again at 12:49pm to get a rough ETA and the "Manager" told me, "I don't know. Your name is H? in our system." Weird....but OK. He eventually found my order via address and placed me on mute to call the driver. She showed up while on mute. "Manger" got back on the line a couple of moments later said, "Hello?" then disconnected the call again. After that debacle I took a moment to attempt to eat with the 12 minutes left of my 1 hour lunch break. Just to find MOLD in my small side of potato salad. I snapped at that point. I worked for this company off and on for YEARS. I have an overall respect for the origin story. Just a 1983 dude just wanting to feed college students some mom and pop sandwiches. I am APPALLED by the lack of customer service, company standard, and overall experience. This location used to be the late night hub of the Highlands. Along side Wick's and Spinelli's. It has diminished since COVID. I was able to speak with the general manager at the Poplar location, Bruce, to which is an AMAZING man. He got me in touch with the district manager, Sam, to whom is also very kind. Though, he is very new to this location, seems to hold the same values every one should. That did give me some hope. Maybe one day, the Baxter location will redeem their glory. Though, the days of being open till 2am are long gone. To the "Manager" who would not disclose his name and repeatedly hung up on me, have the day you deserve. I ONLY ordered delivery because I have to work and my SICK kiddo was craving nostalgia. Freakin sad man.
