I read so many great reviews about this place and was really looking forward to a Valentine’s dinner here with my husband. The service was amazing, but it was hands down the worst food I’ve had in a while. The bread that came out was a dense, dry brick and the Fruitti di Mare pasta that I had was super overcooked- the noodles were practically paste from being boiled too long, and the seafood was like eating rubber bands. I really wanted to like this place, but I will not be going back.

We made reservations at this restaurant for 4 people a week in advance for Valentine’s Day. All of us are bigger people, but not overly large. When we got there we were seated at a hightop table in a corner that was very small (big enough for 2 people really) and 4 hightop chairs that not even one of my butt cheeks could fit on. We asked for better accommodations, but they were not able to give us anything else due to other reservations. The restaurant was overly crowded and I am sure a fire hazard. The waitress however was very apologetic and sympathetic and was so kind. I am sure on any other day this place is great. But just a warning for the big back folks like us. We ended up finding a spot at Drake’s. Not Italian, but still great food.

Went here for a 9pm reservation so I’m going to assume the food was not that great because it was close to closing and the servers were forgetful from working all day. I got the basic Alfredo because I’m avoiding red sauce at the moment. The pasta was served to us and we went awhile before we seen anyone so we could ask for silverware so that we could eat. The sauce was dry and tasted like it was store bought. The noodles were not homemade, definitely from a box. I’ve been here before and it was very yummy so I was disappointed, especially because I brought my boyfriend with me for him to try it for the first time. He made the comment that even the bread they served was better than our entrees and the bread wasn’t even that great. The servers were friendly just a tad unorganized.

My boyfriend and I went here for date night after we saw a viral instagram post about this place, and we were very excited to try it. It wasn't busy at all yet service was slow. We ordered drinks which were delicious, and the canoli was amazing, but the entrees and appetizers were subpar despite how delicious it looked. The food was very plain. The meatball appetizer was just okay. You can get 28oz worth of delicious meatballs from Costco for the price of one from this place. Shockingly I would have rather had Olive Garden because my one plate of barely seasoned spaghetti was 30$, yet Olive Garden gives you endless salad, soup, and bread at least. Other than that, the ambiance was romantic.

I ate here with a group of 8 friends last night and everything was so remarkably perfect that they deserve a review for it. It’s probably also worth mentioning that I come from an Italian American family and can be hard to impress with Italian food. And Ciao was delicious. The food: We split calamari, the focaccia bread, and the toasted ravioli as apps and I’d reorder all 3, but the focaccia and the calamari were particularly great. The focaccia being my fav. They serve complimentary bread and olive oil, which is also really good, but the focaccia was next level with tomatoes and olives baked into it. For entrees, I had some of the salumi pizza and the carbonara. Again, these were both very good, enough that I’d get them again, but the carbonara was my favorite of the two. My friends all got different pastas and everyone was really happy with theirs, too, so I think it would be hard to go wrong. We split two desserts - the nonnas surprise? (Something with nonna in the name) and the tiramisu. Both are served chilled, and the Nonna one was unique with light flavors, very good, but the table’s consensus was that the tiramisu was the best one. It was a good, splittable size, lots of yummy coffee flavored decadence. The cocktails were also excellent as always, as was the wine. The Service: We received TOP notch service from Grace, like noticeably excellent that I typically don’t see too often when dining out. She was attentive, great with recommendations, patient and genuinely friendly with our group of 8, and overall an absolute joy to have as our server for the night. My friends and I usually rotate where we eat for nights out, but we all agreed we wanted to go back to Ciao asap because of how all-around perfect it was. I had seen a couple recent reviews of people not being happy, and I’m really surprised now to have seen that because I’ve been to Ciao about 8 times over the last 7ish years, and this past visit was the best yet. Other notes: easy street parking, accepts reservations, and can serve larger groups.
