We're finished with the chicken and still waiting on the pasta. The waitress messed up our order and forgot we ordered pasta. So we were brought 3 pieces of chicken. And then we had to wait so long my husband got it to go. We paid full price. We won't be back. 50 bucks for 3 stuffed chicken breast and 35 for pasta they evidently had to make from scratch.

This is a very Italian restaurant. Excellent service. Full bar. The menu items are expensive but are intended for multiple people to share, so the prices are just above average. The food was good. The atmosphere is NOT family friendly; the wall art is quite risque all throughout the restaurant.

We gathered to celebrate a family member's 80th birthday. Reservations for 5:45pm. We waited, seriously, over 2.5 hours for the food. Admittedly, it was Valentine's Day, so they were busy. However, we had reservations and Valentine's crowd was not unexpected. They were clearly unprepared. They were also out of several things our group wanted to order, including stuffed shells and tiramisu. The food was good, I guess, but by the time it got there I was over it. There was no offer to comp any food or drinks, even nearly three hours of waiting. Also, the Pope Room big round table is really hard to navigate with the huge center turntable. I won't return to Buca, if I can help it at all. If it had been up to me, I would have left after the first hour.

When we got there the hostess looked at us and asked if we had a reservation I said yes, she said well I don’t know if we can seat you and walked away, once we were finally sat it took over an hour to get the food, we received no drink refills the entire time and I portioned out my water for the kids, i never received my spritz until we were walking out the door and I said no thanks and begged for the check, this was after 2 hours of being at this terrible establishment, we ordered the seafood pasta and I kept biting into shards of shells, I was worried it was going to chip my teeth so I just didn’t eat and after my toddler finished I ate some of her spaghetti. I will never go back there

As a seasoned diner who lives for the theater of Italian American cuisine, Buca di Beppo has historically been a reliable stage for a great meal. Having visited this location twice before with glowing results, I returned for a third act with high expectations. Unfortunately, the performance this evening was plagued by a series of unforced errors that even the kitschy charm of the decor could not mask. The Service: A Comedy of Errors We arrived at 5:00 PM—the golden hour for dinner to a nearly empty parking lot. Yet, we spent our first few minutes standing in an empty lobby while two employees played around in the back, seemingly oblivious to the front door. It took a concerned colleague (who appeared visibly frustrated by the lack of oversight) to intervene and summon our host. While the host was apologetic, citing a slow day, the momentum never recovered. Despite us being one of only four families in the section, the service was glacial. When we tried to streamline things by ordering our entire meal at once, we were told it might be too much for him to handle. an odd sentiment for a table drinking only water. It took 15 minutes for that water to arrive and another five for bread. The Food: A Tale of Two Kitchens The culinary experience was a jarring mix of highs and lows: • Chicken Parmesan: Truly excellent. Crisp, flavorful, and exactly what you want from Buca. • Mozzarella Sticks: Solid, dependable, and well executed. • Spaghetti and Meatballs: A disaster. The pasta had the distinct, gummy texture of being reheated in a microwave. For a restaurant that stakes its reputation on immigrant inspired Italian, this was a massive letdown. easily the worst spaghetti I have encountered in a professional kitchen. The Saving Grace I must give credit to the manager, who had the situational awareness to recognize our growing frustration, especially with two young children in tow. She proactively offered a $25 credit toward the meal, which was a professional and much appreciated gesture. The Verdict: While the management clearly cares about the guest experience, the front of house execution and kitchen consistency have slipped. In a nearly empty restaurant, there is no excuse for slow day apathy. I hope they return to the high standards of my previous visits, but this was a disappointing chapter.
