I like the unconventional taste of Skyline chili, so I decided two weeks ago to get some from the Richmond Road location here in Lexington Kentucky. I ordered a large three-way, Spaghetti, chili, and cheese. Man, was it delicious! Skyline used to be on the watery side for decades. I loved the unconventional flavor of Skyline chili, but it was just too thin and watery for me, and an absolute disaster on hot dogs! That was the reason I gave up on them over a decade ago! But this chili wasn't watery at all! Because of the extra meat Skyline decided to add to it's chili! Skyline decided to enhance the flavor of their once watery chili by adding a lot more meat! No changes in recipe other than more beef and more seasoning because of the extra meat they added! Whatever they did, they did more of it, and it was the absolute best Skyline chili I had ever had in my life! I vowed to go back the following weekend! I was madder than hell after I took my first fork full! Where's the chili? WHERE WAS THE CHILI?😠This was supposed to be just like the large 3-way I had two weeks ago! Whoever hooked my plate up gave me too much spaghetti! Skyline put so much spaghetti on my plate that all I could taste was spaghetti and cheese! Hardly any chili at all! And it was watery again!😡 That Skyline chili tasted plain and halfway flavorless! Talking about dissapointed! Within a seven day period! Why so much spaghetti? I ordered chili with spaghetti, not spaghetti with a little bit of chili! I thought Skyline had turned over a new leaf! I was thoroughly mistaken! If I had gotten the same level of quality ( OR CONSISTENCY AND AMOUNT OF CHILI!) like the chili I bought two weeks ago, they would have gotten four stars from me! But because they gave me so much spaghetti that I could barely taste the chili, they get a big fat grade ( D ) from me! That's one grade away from a big fat ( F! ). I had decided to never return to Skyline after my experience a few days ago, but if I do go back and give Skyline another chance, I will tell them not to weight my order down with spaghetti like you did when I visited a few days ago! And I want to get a good look at it before I pay for it! That means I'll have to bypass the drive thru and go inside! If they show me or give me an order with half the spaghetti and short on the chili, I will not pay for it, and I will walk out of Skyline and never return. When I went to Skyline the first time two weeks ago, I told them it had been years since I had Skyline chili. Did they put more chili than usual on my plate because I was a return customer? If they did, it was dumb to turn around and do what they did one week later!
