  Something incredible is happening at LX BBQ. These guys are true artists and craftsmen when it comes to BBQ. When you meet the owner and operator of LX BBQ, you will understand. These guys have somehow managed BBQ perfection. Every product they sell is amazing. I have sampled BBQ from around the country from those who compete professionally. LX BBQ has yet to enter that world, but if they ever choose to do so, I am very confident that their entry would obliterate the competition. Right now LX BBQ is offering a very special opportunity: the opportunity for you to get to say, "I knew them before they were big," as long as you go now. These guys have wonderful service and a small, warm atmosphere for dining in. This is a great place for a date night, or a family meal. They package your food well for take out so there's no mess. If you want to talk about BBQ they will take the time to talk to you about their process and passion for this art form and answer your questions. LX BBQ is simply fantastic.

  We came with high expectations, and boy, did LX BBQ not disappoint! We would give them six stars if we could! We have very high standards for BBQ: if it isn't delicious without sauce, is not good BBQ. We spent more than the average because we wanted to try a variety of meats and sides. NONE of them disappointed! We started with the beef brisket, which was juicy (not dry), and amazingly tender! Next came the smoked turkey, also super juicy! My wife normally does not like most restaurants' smoked turkey, but she loved this! Third was the pulled pork, which they wrapped in foil so it wouldn't dry out. They recently started adding a bit of their special honey glaze to the pulled pork, and wow! We've never had pulled pork that was this juicy and delicious! Last but not least were the ribs. They were also super tender, it took only the lightest bite to get the meat off the bone, and the peppery honey glaze on them was perfect! On the side they also included both dill cucumber pickles and picked onions to cleanse your palate, which was a nice touch. Last were the sides: fantastic baked beans; thick, creamy Mac and cheese; perfectly creamy, not-too-sweet coleslaw; and beefy, salty collard greens that even made me want to eat them... I'm not typically a fan of greens, but these were amazing! They also have sandwiches if you want to quickly grab food to go. Oh, and the sweet tea was also A+, not too sweet, not too weak. No matter what you order, I can say with confidence that you will not be disappointed!

  This isn't funny, not fair either, this place has a small footprint with the biggest flavor, I challenge anyone to find better Brisket and Pulled Pork, even the Turkey don't be fooled by the location, his food deserves the best if not better notoriety than any 5 star big name. I have been surprised, and the owner, his with his family are humbling people, they know the foods incredible, but they make it seem like your having dinner with your Nanna...in the kitchen. If your on the Bourbon trail, or coming to Lexington for a Wildcat game stop in, sit down and learn what Southern BBQ and Southern hospitality is all about.

  LX BBQ might be a small spot, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in flavor and passion. The atmosphere is cozy and laid-back, and you can really feel the love for BBQ the moment you walk in. The food speaks for itself — perfectly cooked, smoky, tender, and packed with flavor. It’s clear that the guys behind LX BBQ genuinely care about what they’re serving. There’s real heart in the food, and that makes all the difference. If you’re looking for authentic BBQ made with passion, LX BBQ is absolutely worth the visit. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

  Here is the deal, I’m not a big review writer; either something needs to be horrible, or it needs to be the best ever. Our experience was a “best ever experience.” Best brisket, best service and best conversation with the staff. Ricky was a joy to visit with. Yep, overall it is the best. From the time I walked in, to the time I left, I felt valued and well taken care of. I liked that, a lot. I think you’ll appreciate this too when you visit. My wife is a brisket fanatic, usually complaining about something she doesn’t like about it, always in search of the best. Today she found it. Thank you LEX BBQ. Brisket is the best and I must say your greens that accompanied our meal were fantastic. Awesome flavor, not too salty. Today, You made our day a little brighter. We appreciate you. And you know what they say, happy wife, happy life. Yes, she’s happy.
