We’re a bit like our hometown: sophisticated, well-traveled, but grounded in our roots. We believe there’s nothing more important than taking time to dine well with family and friends in a beautiful space. And we have a passion for all things Bluegrass - curing our meats in-house, supporting the region’s diverse farming and food community, and keeping a local-first mindset in everything we do.
Epping’s is located in a renovated historic building that once held Epping Bottling Works, home to the hustle and spirit of local entrepreneur John G. Epping. Today, we are proud to honor that history and be part of the energy of downtown Lexington’s Warehouse Block.

My father faces a unique medical condition, and during our brunch together, I felt compelled to turn to him and say, “You’ve been a great father to me.” The weight of those words struck him, and he began to cry, which brought overwhelming emotion to the surface for me. As we sat at the bar, I tried to maintain my composure, but the tears began to flow softly, and soon they came with greater intensity. I couldn’t bear to leave my father alone in that moment, so I approached Avynne and asked if she would kindly watch over him. She not only provided excellent service as a bartender but also kept a discreet eye on him, ensuring his safety while I stepped away to collect myself in the restroom. It's rare to encounter someone so gentle and understanding of the delicate challenges many face as they age. Avynne truly made a difference in that moment, transforming my difficult experience into a comforting one. Her compassion made my heart smile amidst my tears. I sincerely hope Eppings recognizes the treasure they have in her. Please cherish her; she is truly a gem.
