Always great. Yolanda is our favorite server and she's been here 9 years. The best restaurant in Lexington for a creative seasonal menu and never pretentious.

We had an excellent dinner at Coles 735 Main while visiting Lexington. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere felt upscale but still welcoming. I had the lobster bisque, which was rich and delicious. Our toddler Pierce had the baked mac and cheese, which he absolutely loved, and Richie ordered a salad with a juicy grilled chicken breast that was fresh and very flavorful. One highlight of the night was our server Yolanda, who was amazing. She was incredibly kind and attentive, especially to Pierce. She talked with him, brought him extra bread and butter, and even surprised him at the end of the meal with some of their specialty mango sorbet, which completely made his night. The service really elevated the whole experience. Great food, great service, and a very memorable dinner for our family. Highly recommend if you’re in Lexington.

Eppings is my favorite restaurant in Lexington. Came here because I heard they are tied together and Epping’s is closed on Mondays. Came last Monday and it was great. Came back today and it was truly unbelievable. Think Epping’s and Cole’s are tied now. Great atmosphere. Different than Epping’s - homier, cozier, feels like you’re in Kentucky in a good way. We’ve had John every time we’ve been here and he’s a great server/bartender. Very knowledgeable and the type of guy that makes you want to come back. Can’t say good enough things about Cole’s and John. 10/10

My fiancé and I had dinner here tonight and we were super disappointed. We got the truffle infused lobster bisque, which had absolutely no truffle flavor. We also ordered the spanakopita, which was good but they skimp on portion. For our entrees we got the blackened chicken pasta and the NY strip. First the chicken in the pasta looked and tasted like diced frozen tyson chicken. It was tough and dry. The sauce was thin so you didn’t taste it on the pasta because it didn't stick. The pasta also had weird mushy bites which i would assume was mushroom. Then for the steak…. I ordered it medium rare. It came out cooked uneven . First few bites were tender but the rest was overcooked. I’d say it was medium to medium well. I swapped the grits for brussel sprouts which were nothing special. At that point we were uninterested in finishing and didn't want to waste more $ on a dessert. We spent $130 for food that was mid at best. I’ve had better $30 steaks from outback. Im not one to argue and the staff was very kind so I didn't have the heart to tell them how un-enjoyable our food was. We will not be returning…..

Had an amazing time at the bar with John! He’s incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and truly a wonderful bartender. The atmosphere is so cozy, and you’re greeted with warm, welcoming smiles the moment you walk in. My brother was in from out of town, and I just had to take him to this gem — it never disappoints! The food is packed with rich, delicious layers of flavor. I highly recommend the salmon entrée and the glazed shrimp appetizer — both were absolutely outstanding! All around, this place is a true Lexington staple and a must-visit any day of the week.
