  First time visit for my wife’s birthday. We are new to the Lexington area so we are still very much learning the best spots in town. She had the two 4 ounce medallions, and I had the 8 ounce barrel cut. Both were delicious, but I didn’t discern a worthy difference in the higher price of the 8 ounce. Next time I would definitely do the two 4 ounce. That said, the steaks were cooked to perfection. Tender, juicy, and full of flavor. We went with another couple and both the Nachos and the Ribs appetizers were delicious. The bartender absolutely delivered on my Old Fashioned as well. Still want to try Jeff Ruby’s, but I can say with absolute confidence this will not be our only visit to Carson’s. Definitely expensive, but definitely fine dining.

  Amazing food- steaks, sides, dessert, drinks. Loved my filet and peanut butter pie. Staff is professional and attentive. Best to call for a reservation! Great place for celebrations!

  Amazing atmosphere and cocktails, we also tried the BBQ ribs and baked Brie appetizers. They were so delicious... but we ended up getting absolutely stuffed by our appetizers and not even being able to order our intended steaks lol. You know what, it's a good problem to have, and we can't wait to come back. Do not miss this if you're in Lexington.

  I have been here a handful of times and the food is truly amazing. The ribs are the best I have ever had, and i have had then 4-5 times (consistent every time) The fries with béarnaise sauce are delicious but i wouldn’t waste any extra $ on adding meat because the amount of meat they give is not worth any up charge.(if you get them to go they give you a laughable sized ramekin with a bite of meat Ive had the ny strip which is amazing and cooked perfectly ….just overpriced. But in my opinion no steak is worth more that $35-40 so thats just me. I have also tried their pasta entree which was very flavorful, no complaints at all there. I got a side of broccoli with smoked gouda which was really good. I also got a slice of chocolate cake with was flavorful but incredibly dry. Idk if it was just that one time but definitely wouldn't try it again. Overall good restaurant. I wouldn’t waste money on buying their expensive items, but going in to get an appetizer of ribs and fries is totally worth it.
