I've had Chillitos dozens of times before & never had this terrible experience.
The staff wasted 45 minutes of my time by giving me 2 chillitos with barely any chilli or cheese. I paid almost $9 for 2 tortillas. That is absurd.
I showed my chillito to the Shift Lead, Maggie Carrizales, & she asked me if I want another order or if I want a refund. I replied that I'll take the refund. She heads back for 20 minutes to come back & tell me that the district manager says that they don't offer refunds but they can give me gift certificates.
Why do I want gift certificates for a place that does not do their job.
They should not offer the customer a refund if they do not give refunds.
She goes back in & takes another 15 minutes to talk to the district manager.
She comes back and tells me that I was refunded my money.
That means that they do do refunds (regardless of what they call it) & they just wanted to get away with taking a customer's money without providing the service. There is absolutely no reason to serve any customer what is seen in the picture attached & charge them $9 for it. No gift certificate will make up for such incredibly careless behavior & it makes no sense to give a certificate for a future order when the need for 45 minutes in the past.
I don't blame all this on Maggie, the shift lead.
What is extremely unprofessional is that when she called her manager, he directs her to the district manager.
Why does such a simple matter require a district manager...your trainee made a lousy mistake & gave the customer a wrong order. A chillito without chilli is not a chillito. Make it right & move on.
It does not take 45 minutes & a district manager to handle a basic situation at a branch.
If there is a store manager for this branch, then this is the worst managing skills. He should be fired for being a lazy coward & dumping his job on people below him & above him. If he cannot handle a crisis at the branch that he manages, he should not be a manager.
Maggie on the other hand, although the other staff created the problem, she maintained a respectful demeanor the entire time. She was stuck between
1) a trainee that did not do his job right,
2) an annoyed customer at 9:30pm who was served lousy food & lost 45 minutes,
3) a manager who doesn't want to step in & handle the situation,
4) a district manager that is who knows where & originally told her that they won't refund only to turn around & give the refund 45 minutes later....
Maggie did a great job at handling the pressure.
Good job Maggie. You handled a tough situation & maintained a respectful conversation throughout the situation.
Tell your district manager that you have customer recommendation to fire that lousy branch manager & promote you to manager instead.
(I would have given a 5 star rating for service if it were representing only Maggie the shift lead but since it includes the trainee & both managers, I did not. The 2 stars are both for Maggie's service.)
Very unnecessary waste of time last night.
Managers need to learn how to manage their business & stop dumping all the responsibilities on employees below them.

My family and I are skyline lovers but this visit wasn’t it. After ordering our food we waited a long time for our food only to come out with 2 of our 5 items wrong. The staff were at the counter talking and goofing off and when we had to wait for our food the waitress claimed the kitchen was slow. Obviously when everyone is in a circle talking, you’re food will be slow. They were not busy only one other table eating, and there were dirty tables. The waitress had to go “find” a clean fork.
I understand having a rush, and running out of items and having to make more. But just not checking on tables and getting items wrong for not only our table but the other table also is crazy. They definitely need more training.
Will not be returning to this location.

My friend and I had lunch here recently and both ordered our 5 way "juicy" or "sloppy". Both are common and well known terms in Cincinnati chili restaurants indicating that you want your plate to have less spaghetti than a normal order but heavier on the chili. The five ways came with what we both agreed was disappointing because it was the usual amount of chili instead of how we requested. Regardless it was tasty and we enjoyed our time there until the bill came. The manager had the server charge us both for an additional $3 for a cup of chili. We told her we didn't receive an additional cup of chili and that it we simply ordered heavy chili, less spaghetti. The female manager lied and said she'd been there for ten years and that's how they always do it. (That store has only been opened 3 years!) Anyway, the server should have told us ahead of time.
