I just went through the drive through at 12:30 pm and ordered a Philly steak on herb and cheese bread and got the hardest nastiest bread ever. I understand they use yesterdays bread when they first open but come on, it’s noon. I asked for it heated and they put my cheese on after? Weird. I know there are people out there starving that would love to have this food but I’m still annoyed that I paid 9 dollars for a 6 inch hard nasty sandwich.

Best Subway around. Greatest vegetables and KJ was our sandwich maker. She was super friendly and quick. Sandwiches were excellent

Landon Mallory at Subway in Benton KY is one of the most respectful young men I have ever encountered, especially for having a job at a fast food restaurant. He was patient, calm, spoke clearly, had a positive attitude, cheerful, and said ma’am several times during the interaction. I think I may have gotten there at opening time and they werent quite ready. His apology for me waiting a few min was done with sincere empathy and compassion instead of the usually short and sweet “sorry for your wait” with attitude behind it. Overall it was a positive experience and that boy deserves some recognition. I’m not sure who his parents are but kudos to yall for raising such a kind, compassionate, and respectful young man!

I made a mobile order for after I got off work. Tuna sub meal deal AND paid an extra $1 for the Happy Gilmore option for the cup. Picked up order and first off the drink was in a regular large subway cup?? In the bag is the Happy Gilmore cup that is maaaaaybe 16 ounces. They don't say that online when the offer pops up. So you're paying for a 16 oz cup (no lid) just a small plastic cup.
Get home and chips are not in the bag.
I call, speak with 2 of their employees the female tells me they don't even carry the Lays Salt and Vinegar chips. I ordered them through the Subway app at the Benton location. Strange but okay. Then a male employee says they weren't on the ticket and I explained I ordered through app, opted for Happy Gilmore meal option, chose the chips, the tuna sub, and drink and when it said anything else and brought the little bar up so you can choose last minute options I chose 2 oatmeal cookies and went to checkout. All of my items were there. Used my built up rewards to take an extra $2 off. Added my card and hit pay now. Waited till 5 pm and went through drive thru to pickup.
He says, they (the chips) weren't on the ticket. Said maybe the computer canceled them out because I chose cookies. I explained that was strange because I ordered those as an add on at the end before checkout. I also tell him at this point that the cup deal is misleading and it is leaking. It has a small pin hole crack in the bottom. He says, "I don't know what to tell you. You weren't charged for the chips. There's nothing I can do for you."
So I said that's not good customer service and said we'll okay bye and hung up.
But I called back to get the manager's name and the female gave it to me. Said his name was Alan She said the male employee was calling Alan at that moment. As I was waiting, the female employee said hold on I have to take an order. I said okay and she hung up on me.
I'm done. I won't be back at this location at least. I already stopped going to Draffenville because they were so rude. They didn't mess up my order but they were just not nice, pleasant, and rude. I'd say a bad day, but it happened more than once.
But folks, don't get dupped by the Happy Gilmore meal option unless you just need a plastic 16 ounce lidless cup.
Also, Benton doesn't carry Lays Salt & vinegar chips like it shows on the app.
Also, the app makes some of your choices disappear...... allegedly.
And first and foremost, " I don't know what to tell you. There's nothing we can do for you" is the customer service that you're gonna get. Not I'm so sorry that happened, let me call or make a note for the manager to see what we can do.
Note the female employee did apologize and I felt like she was just caught in the middle. The male employee though, have mercy. If he is the shift leader or asst mgr in training, he needs more customer service training.
And I just opened my tuna sub....it's wrong too. Good grief. 🤦🏻♀️
Over it.... consumer beware. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Note: the Calvert City Subway location, super nice employees and never has got my order my family's order wrong. So, guess, that's the location to do business. I'll gladly drive further for better service.
