  My stop at Blue Sushi Sake Grill felt modern and lively. The sushi rolls were creative and beautifully presented, with fresh flavors that really stood out. The place has a trendy vibe, and the sake list adds to the fun. It’s a great spot if you want sushi that’s a little more inventive than the usual.

  Blue Sushi is a wonderful place to satisfy your sushi craving. The atmosphere is decidedly modern/casual with a sushi bar, eating bar, and plenty of tables of various sizes. Our server, Carlos, was a delight. Always available but not hovering. His recommendation of the Lion King roll was spot on. Great place to celebrate the BIG 75! We will be back. Their Happy Hour menu is a super value.

  This was my go-to sushi spot for the longest. After this visit, my business will strictly go to their other location. I ordered a rainbow roll, lion king roll, south pacific roll, and sake nigiri. I called ahead asking for my rainbow roll to be made without big-eye tuna. The gentleman assured me he would tell the chefs. I still got big-eye tuna on my roll. My first bite was met with bitterness and I realized I ate poop. The shrimp was not properly de-veined. My south pacific roll's unagi was chewy and unpleasant to eat. Some rolls were falling apart. The overall quality and portion of all the fish was a vast contrast to my previous visits. When you pay this much for sushi, you expect high-quality. These rolls barely met the bar for mediocre. Save yourself the trouble and go to the other location.

  I honestly used to really enjoy this place but the quality has plummeted. The rice tastes stale/ uncooked and the fish is no where near the quality it used to be. I ordered a rainbow roll that had uncleaned shrimp on it. The rolls themselves are uneven and poorly constructed. Getting a table is a nightmare, even when it is slow. Often times no one is at the front. All around one of my favorite places in KC has just become super overpriced and the same quality level as something you could buy from a grocery store.
