Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently reported slow service, particularly in the drive-thru, with long wait times and incorrect orders.

My first time going to this restaurant or a Whataburger at all and it was not the greatest experience. I ordered a double meat Whataburger with American cheese, large fries, and a large Dr. Pepper. It took quite a long time for a fast food restaurant to fulfill the order, basically, they are slow as all get out and from what I saw, have no desire to be otherwise. People just standing around. For instance, while I was waiting for food, the guy at the window just stood there and did nothing. After the food finally came, he then filled the drink, something that could have been done you know, while waiting for the food. The fries were decent but could have used a bit more salt. They were kind of bland. The burger was sloppily thrown together with one patty hanging off the side of it. The patties themselves were cooked to hockey puck status. Flavor-wise, it is okay, nothing special but not terrible either. The Dr. Pepper, I got to taste it once before my thumb went through the cheap Styrofoam cups they use and subsequently doused my cars center console with 44 ounces of Dr. Pepper, appreciate that. Finally, they told me the order came to $12.36. I looked at the charge on my checking account and I was charged $14.35 so either they overcharged me or there is a $1.99 fee to use a debit card that they don't tell you about. With all of that, it is highly unlikely that I will return to this or any other Whataburger, it is just not worth it.

Excellent service!
The staff were very friendly and attentive. I was warmly greeted by Harsh upon arrival, which made a great first impression. My order was prepared and served promptly, and the food quality and taste were exceptional truly 10/10.

Asked for sauces first thing the guy did was hand us 6 ketchup and tell us we have to pay "almost a dollar" for each sauce aside from ketchup. Ok but didnt even ask what sauces we wanted. 26$ for 2 burgers that had no ketchup or mustard on them when called to inform them all I got was sorry bout that. Worst experience ever!!!! Shame how hyped up it is but yet this is how things happen. Its a shame bad apples can ruin an experience. Word travels .....

We went in for lunch yesterday and the service was so amazing it was hot and fresh and they were so friendly you can tell the manager and the team are having fun. My daughter got mustard on her burger and the manager quickly remade another one her name was Michelle.

First time EVER having Whataburger and I gotta say, I am VERY DISAPPOINTED. I will NEVER eat at this restaurant again. The food was NOT hot, the fries tasted and felt like they have been sitting out with NO salt on them. The chicken sandwich taste like they bought the patty from wal mart. It was NOT crispy at all. Just very dissatisfied. They are over priced for the food they serve.
