Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Many customers reported issues with food quality, including cold and poorly prepared items, with some stating that the burgers lacked flavor and seasoning.
Service Speed
Numerous reviews highlighted slow service, particularly in the drive-thru, with long wait times and incorrect orders being common complaints.
Customer Experience
While some customers praised friendly staff and good service, many expressed frustration over order inaccuracies and lack of responsiveness from management.
Cleanliness
The restaurant was noted to be clean by some, but others reported dirty tables and restrooms, indicating inconsistency in maintenance.

Michelle Rodriguez is amazing! You don't get many amazing store managers these days. I had ordered through Uber and my deliverer failed to bring me everything I ordered which was 2 different value meals. I called Whataburger and spoke to Michelle and she sincerely felt bad that we didn't receive our other meal so she offered to replace our entire order and gave us 2 awesome collectors cups!

I went on Monday afternoon during lunch and it was PERFECT. I did not have the experience that a lot of people on here seem to have had. The sweet tea was just how I like it SUPER SWEET! It was fresh and didn't taste weird like a lot of restaurants/gas stations do. There was 4 of us and all of our food came out quick, hot, fresh and delicious! The front counter lady was a sweet heart and took great care of us! We enjoyed it and plan to go back soon! We are picky eaters so this says a lot.

Waited for freshly made onion rings but burger was cold. Ingredients tasted fresh but burger was gross and made my stomach ache after eating part of it. The ones in Texas are way better!

My boyfriend and I just ordered there and been waiting for our food for over an hour. He went to go pick it up. He told me staff went to go hide in the back and one of the workers left. I called the restaurant twice phone rang and nobody answered. Very disappointed with this restaurant after hearing so many good reviews from around the world. Whataburger staff you guys need to do better!

I only give you 1 star because no matter how many times I say it wether it be at the drive thru speaker or in person y’all still seem to screw up the order and it’s the simplest thing. I even ordered inside the store to a physical person and ended up waiting 40 minutes on my lunch break for a single sandwich and when I got tired of waiting I requested a refund because I couldn’t wait any longer as I had to get back to work and the manager came up and just reprinted my receipt, I decided to just eat the cost because I was about to lose my temper, I get working fast food can be stressful and I understand there will always be human error but come on y’all this is just sad at this point. Literally only come here once in a while if I wasn’t able to make a lunch for work or if I’m just looking for a quick bite, but y’all mess it up 9 out of 10 times and the order can’t possibly get any simpler and it’s not like the food is cheap. Like the order I just placed y’all screwed it up, it’s just a honey bbq chicken strip sandwich on a bun….i said it 5 times, 3 times over speaker twice in person and STILL got it wrong. I called the store and told them they offered to remake it but at this point I’m just done giving you my money.
