Hole in the wall (endearing) with solid chili and cinnamon rolls. Had a chili burger- very good! Potato salad was also good although a somewhat small portion- that said, I left full. Also a deli. Very nice employees.

Ok, this place is a bit out of the way but worth visiting if you like places that are truly rooted in local history. However, it is not fancy or even all that updated since probably the 1970s, if that. It's a reboot of Porubsky's which was located in the same building for 75 years, which was filled with mud in 1951. There's a documentary about the original restaurant and the family that ran it that plays on a loop and has a lot of great interviews and historical photos. The chili is what it's named for and the horseradish pickles are what it's known for. They also did a pretty decent Chicago dog. The staff was friendly and patient. They also had cinnamon rolls, bottled and canned soda, and a full bar separate from the deli.

Went in search of famous horseradish pickles, apparently this business has changed hands and the pickles are not quite the same as I remember from years ago. Nonetheless service was very friendly and the pickles that they are making now were quite delightful, including a spicy version. Place was very quiet and out of the way, hope they can do something to distinguish themselves to bring visitors
