I ABSOLUTELY will NEVER return to this location again and after hearing a manager trash talk the establishment on our second to last visit, that explains why the service has been so horrendous the last FOUR times in a row.
Today we waited in the line for 45 min because the staff are some of the laziest people we've ever met who do not care about the quality of customer service. And once you're in the line, you're a captive audience who cannot escape despite what may require an hour of your time.
I'm furious that it took 45 min today alone because these teenage and college aged staff find it more important to chit chat for 5+ min with cars while they have a full line backed into the street. Their friends come thru and immediately it's more important to spend time gossiping than moving cars through the line. Today's final straw for me was that we finally reached near the front of the line to pick up the drinks we ordered. There was ONE car in front of us and they talked for nearly 5min. We THOUGHT they were waiting on a messed up drink maybe, but NO after they laughed and chatted, they finally just drove away. Meanwhile, we could see two drinks sitting on their cart getting cold that were not handed to the car ahead of us. Initially we thought those were maybe the mistaken drinks for the car ahead of us. But much to our surprise, they handed them to us when we pulled up.
And moreover, when we DID pull up, we didn't even get our drinks. The two females standing there, who were chatting with the car that had been ahead of us, TURNED THEIR BACK ON US to chat with themselves more. They didn't even have the proper sense to maybe consider handing us our drinks FIRST before turning to chat with one another.
They are so disrespectful of customer's time. We had been waiting 45 min at this point and they were absolutely fine with making us continue to wait while they gossiped amongst themselves, WHEN OUR DRINKS WE PAID FOR WERE SITTING RIGHT THERE!! Make it freaking make sense.
Insult to injury, we KEEP giving this location chance after chance. When they first opened, they were amazing. But having four HORRIBLE visits in a row, with people that have NO business in customer service, we will not only not return, but I'll actively encourage people to just go down the road to Dutch Bros. We drive out of our way from Manhattan to come here but today was the last time. We'll go to 151 Coffee in MHK and not be treated so poorly.
I seldom write scathing, angry reviews about places that involve customer service because I understand everyone has off days, but this was absolutely the straw that broke the camels back. 7brew Topeka will not see another dime of ours and it will be a personal mission to encourage others to go literally ANYWHERE ELSE until they either get better staff or go bankrupt and close.
