  Whoever bought out the restaurant recently has failed and sullied the Roy's name. The food is terrible, the portions are meagre, and the prices are outrageous. Why change the food? Go back to original recipes, where they had actual flavor.

  The food and service here is absolutely amazing! My mom and I stopped here for the first time for lunch. We got the four meat dinner so we could try most of the meat selections plus added on a sausage link so we could try it too. All I can say is Wow! It was so delicious! There was also more than enough food for the both of us, we were definitely full when we left. My absolute faves were the ribs, smoked turkey and the polish sausage. Their sides are equally as amazing. All you can eat beans and the best cream corn ever, along with homemade vinegar cucumbers with dill and jalapenos and regular dill pickles. They have the best coleslaw I have ever eaten and I don't like coleslaw that much generally, so that's saying something for me. We also tried the German coleslaw and the macaroni salad and they were both delicious as well. The service here was superb, could not have asked for any nicer or more polite people working here. The owner even came out and told us about the place and how some of their recipes came to be. For us this is Hands Down the Best Barbecue place we have been to here in Hutch. I am so glad we found this place and we will most definitely be back.

  I have been going to Roy's since the early eighties. Not until my very last visit in Dec have I ever been dissatisfied. Ribs were dry and had the smoke of a house fire not famous bbq that Hutchsonians have heralded for decades. The Hot links were nothing more than hotdogs. An employee walked by wiping tables and asked how it was, but just kept moving without taking the time to hear what I might have said. I left my food on the table and left. Many changes have been made and thats the new ownership prerogative, but its a huge dissapointment. Please put things back to the way it was. There's no reason to ruin a winner.
