Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
I'm very happy that Gardner has another burger place now, and so far the food and service has been great, other than the extremely slow drive thru. Having to pay extra for cheese is a little ridiculous, and charging for sauce is also sad. But i love the fries, they are perfectly salty and delightful.

Josy is fantastic at what she does. I highly recommend making her a shift lead or manager considering all the bad reviews for this store. If she can remain who she is whole ranking up, she would do a great job of enhancing the culture and leadership in the store.

First, you should know I grew up in Texas and lived there for over 60 years, and have been to the original location in Corpus Christi more times than I can count. I used to LOVE Whataburger. And that was before people made cult worship out of it.
It's just not that good anymore. Five Guys has Whataburger beat 10 ways to Sunday. And so does In-n-Out. And trust me, I am no fan of anything related to California. But if Whataburger, Five Guys, and In-n-Out were my only choices and Whataburger was right next door, I'd drive to Five Guys or In-n-Out before I'd walk next door to Whataburger. It is now just a so-so burger. In fact, here in Olathe, there are two Burger Kings that are closer than a Whataburger, so I go to Burger King rather than drive the extra 3 miles to get Whataburger.
My experience is that half the time, my Whataburger is cold when I get it, and the fries are old more than half of the time. Even worse, when I've asked for bacon as an add-on or if it came with the style of burger, it seriously tastes as if it was cooked somewhere else and was taken right out of the fridge and put on my burger. I refuse to eat any Whataburger with bacon now, and that used to be one of my favorite add-ons. Everything about Whataburger is just meh now. I won't go out of my way. And my wife used to be a big fan of Whataburger also. Now, she chooses McDonald's, of all places, rather than drive a few extra miles to the big W! So sad. This used to be a great burger back in our younger days in Texas.

Hey, next time you want to rush someone through your drive through at 9:30 PM when it's dead, maybe get their order right? 😬 Like I've worked food service so I know night shifts aren't fun, but if you're gonna be rude to customers, maybe find a job that doesn't involve customer service. Shout out to the girlypop taking drive through orders, this is @ you. ✌️
