Sooo slow… really glad 7 brew is opening up soon. They actually know how to take orders before getting the window.

We come to this Dutch Bros whenever we come to Derby for a shopping day. They have always been so friendly, quick, and happy to help answer any questions we had. Until today. Today the girl at the window(very sweet and friendly) seemed to be in training, and when I asked a question about the DB app that I’ve never used before, she turned to ask the girl training her. Instead of helping answer questions- she took over the window service and quickly cut me off as I was repeating my question. Told me to order first, scan later. That wasn’t my question, which I tried explaining again. She again cut me off, spoke over me, and told me to tell her our order. Which really depended on the question I was trying to ask. I understand mid-day rush, and trying to be quick and efficient. What I don’t understand is being rude and dismissive to a customer trying to ask a question to help improve their experience. If she’s this rude to a paying customer- it makes me wonder how she treats her co-workers any time they try to ask questions. If I was a fellow employee, I’d be hesitant to ask her anything after seeing how rude and dismissive she is to customers. We are just one family, so losing our business wont mean anything to Dutch Bros. But- it’s a bummer when one negative interaction with a cranky employee can leave such a bad taste in your mouth. DB was our favorite part of our girls days- bummed to have to find somewhere new to try!

Lots of drinks to choose from, including zero sugar options, and consistently fast and friendly service. To avoid the drive-thru line, you can order ahead in the app and pick up your order at the walk-up window, which is on the opposite side of the store as the drive-up window, or you can stay in your car, wait in the line of cars (which is usually long), and pick it up at the drive-thru window. There's no way to order at a drive-thru kiosk like most drive-thru places ... they either have a person outside who takes your order while you're in the drive-thru line or, if it's too cold outside, there's no one outside taking orders, so you place your order at the drive-up window, which will cause you & the people behind you to wait longer & cause a long drive-thru line. Do yourself & everyone behind you (& our planet) a favor ... order ahead in the app, & use the walk-up window. You'll be in & out fast & won't cause a long drive-thru line where you're sitting there, idling in your car for several minutes, causing a lot more exhaust fumes to be released into our planet's atmosphere. Seriously, it won't hurt you to park, get out for a minute, & get back in your car to leave. They always have your order ready when the app says it will be ready, so just go to the walk-up window unless there happens to be no line of cars when you get there. There are 3 regular parking spaces and 2 handicap parking spaces. They don't need very many spaces there because they always have your order ready on time, so people are able to park there and leave quickly. This is not a dine-in place, so I didn't rate the atmosphere.
