Delicious food, we had the buffet and the mushroom soup 🥰was the best I’ve ever eaten. Delicious fresh baked garlic bread. Remember to taste the carrot cake different but super yummy. Very friendly service 🤩

Vel þess virði að stoppa við hér. Súpuhlaðborðið stendur alltaf fyrir sínu. Mæli 100% frekar með að koma hingað en að fara á Friðheima m.t.t. verðs og matar.

Glæsilegt! I didn’t like mushrooms before I came here—but this place converted me. Fantastic food, wonderful staff, all details attended to. Can’t wait to bring my parents 🙏🙏

Hidden germ in Iceland and personally would prefer this bistro to the tomato farm one. Made a booking but arrived 1 hour early, the staff kindly allowed me to have the table early. Quiet and cozy environment with less people. Menu included mushroom buffet (coffee and tea included), and different à la carte; alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, desserts were available (carrot ice cream, mushroom ice cream, carrot cake). Ordered famous mushroom buffet. The bread was sourdough and garlic bread. Both were fluffy in texture (compared to the stale bread in tomato farm one); garlic bread surprised me with its strong garlic flavor. Mushroom soup was with sliced mushroom and mushroom flakes. Although the texture was slightly on watery side, it was rich in butter and mushroom flavor. Different dressings for bread were provided. Appreciated they tried to make their own dressing using mushrooms, garlic, paprika etc, which were delicious and impressive. Noteworthy that the bistro was in good hygiene, bread was well covered. Buffet cost ISK 3740/person. Worth the price given its originality.

This is one of the must-go-to restaurants in the area. Very popular, best mushroom soup, mushroom bread, mushroom chairs, mushroom floor, everything mushroom mushroom. Even if you don’t like the shrooms so much, like I did, this is just something everyone needs to experience. 12/10
