  I had chicken fry biryani and garlic naan The chicken was 70% tough and almost impossible to eat. It was like it was made of bones. The rice was great but due to the chicken it felt like a waste. Lastly the garlic naan fine not a very strong flavor.

  No more lunch buffet on weekdays, website is now incorrect…what a shame. For those wanting a weekday lunch buffet, The Monk’s is a great choice and unlike here, consistently delivers!

  My husband and I came in for lunch, we did not know that they had a buffet upon our friendly introduction we were introduced to the buffet . The food was authentic and delicious, the environment was so tranquil and clean. The staffs were so mannerable and courteous. We also bought off the menu alacarte and took it to go. The price is very reasonable and the manager came out and check on each guest and introduced himself. You will not be disappointed.

  Delicious food, kind and attentive service, and clean and attractive atmosphere. My husband and I have eaten at Desi Chowrastha in Zionsville on multiple occasions, and on a few occasions, we have brought friends with us. We always leave full and pleased with our experience - as have our friends. They have a yummy lunch buffet every day with a wide variety of foods - some for those who eat meat and those who do not. So, if you are new to Indian food, I highly recommend coming and getting the buffet so you have several options to try.

  Ordered few items close to $50 including a crispy masala dosa. The crepe was too thin and too crispy like a papad n crumbled up into tiny pieces. So I complained to them about it as I couldn’t get any condiments on top of it to eat. The girl who took my order says well you asked for crispy so there it is. But another girl was nice enough and offered to get me another one which was not more thicker for no charge. That was nice. The onion and spinach pakora and the potato samosas were really fresh and crunchy. Excellent taste. 5 stars ! I will go back for them again for sure. I had puris and Chana masala as well to go. I would give one star for it. I would avoid it next time. Prepare for a longer wait time to get food to your table. Overall it’s a place to revisit again for the ambience, and cleanliness of the place. Would like to check out their non veg items next time and see how good they are.
