  The best Indian food in SBN. We ate there today and I'm so thrilled this place is a ten-minute walk from our home. It is straight up excellent, and not just 'good by Indian food in the US standards'. The onion dosa we ate could compete with any cafeteria/tiffin service in Delhi or Hyderabad - crispy, perfectly fermented batter and great sambar and chutneys while the chilli paneer was of the best four I've eaten (and I've spent 35+ years in India and been a food reviewer in Delhi and Hyderabad). The gongura chicken wasn't as green as I expected but omg did it pack the punch - spicy (Andhra food is hot!), tangy and exactly as I remember from my years in Hyderabad! Can't wait to go back and try every single thing on their menu. Can't believe I can get Indian food this good in South Bend, IN. If you're looking for Indian food, or are curious about international cuisines, you HAVE to go here.

  Really good South Indian food in South Bend. Didn't expect to find something this authentic here. The masala dosa was full of flavor, easily the best thing I've eaten in a while. Staff were friendly and the place had a nice relaxed vibe. Will definitely be coming back.

  Very good place for South Indian cuisine in particular. Authenticity is high. It has hole in the wall status. Make sure to try the dosa, it's legit. Other favorites are quite good as well. They have a moderate sized seating area, and offer takeout as well. Biryani and chicken dishes are also good to try. Plenty of vegetarian options as well. Overall a very good Indian restaurant and the one to go back to.

  Whenever we visit South bend ,This is our regular go to restaurant . Thier Biryanis and especially house special chicken 65 is our must buy.

  My wife and I had a delicious dinner at BB’s Indian Kitchen. The food is amazing. I hope anyone local to or visiting South Bend will try it out. You won’t be sorry. They specialize in South Indian cooking, while also offering the northern dishes more familiar to American diners. I had the Malabar fish curry, which I had only had once before when visiting Kerala which is where the recipe originates. I was not disappointed. The smoky flavor of the curry leaves and the creamy coconut sauce make for a flavor that is simply unlike anything else you may have tasted, and so if you are adventurous and like surprising your taste buds, you will love this. My wife had the Lamb tikka masala, one of those northern staples, but the version of it at this restaurant is so much better than any I remember having anywhere recently, if ever. When South Indians make northern dishes, they bring their own unique take on them and the result is something special. If you normally like this dish, order it here and you will be amazed. Anyplace that has big windows that let patrons see what is happening in the kitchen are places you can trust. The windows in the other direction give you a view of a path overlooking the river. If I lived in South Bend, this would be a place I would come to dine over and over again. If you’ve never been, you’re missing out on something really special!
