This place is a joke… I love Jewel and the deals they offer at times are next level but the customer service is terrible and the online ordering service is even worse you’ll NEVER get your order on time and most times never on the same day. I ordered here for an important party that I ended up having to go elsewhere for the food and then I went to speak to a manager and was told to wait I waited an hour just to be told not enough people showed up for work today so my order couldn’t be completed. My first ever job was jewel and back then there was a standard which is why I shop here but this place has no standard for customer service whatsoever. Do better and hire some ppl respectfully asking‼️

Jewel is getting worst every time I go with the Deli department having people wait forty minutes for fry chicken this is ridiculous either the manager needs to replace those workers, or have more efficient workers, taking there sweet time, no need to rush or any urgency to move that line fast the whole Deli department you can look at people complaining and there face of frustration management do better.

I was in the area so I stopped at Jewel on my way home. So many isles, fully stocked, huge store but I felt very closed in and confined, but then I do get claustrophobic at times. They do offer a lot of items. I live in Whiting Indiana and shop normally at Stracks there so I decided to check out prices. Several items I purchase at Stracks were priced a lot higher at Jewel. Some other items the same price, some they didn't even have the item. I'm sure there are some things cheaper but for me I'd rather shop my Stracks.

Noone at this location knows where anything is. I have been in here many times and it has not changed. I have had employees point and say oh its on that side of the store somewhere. Actually I can go on and on but im so mad right now after something that happened this morning, so im just going to say this. TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES!!! not everyone is gonna know everything, but everyone should be able to say. Hold on 1 minute, let me find out for you.
It's perching with her one more not the unprofessionalism, of pointing and say, look over there. Or constantly look like you are interrupting them. You have a job because of customers. Someone needs to tell management that

I have had enough of giving them chances. The first time I had an issue was in December, the meat department aisle is already very crowded with customers, but now you added pallets of water through the whole department where you can’t even get through and look at the product. Then you put a few spaces between the multiple pallets, but employees have their carts in the way. So I gave up on looking there. Then I decided to move over to the holiday display near produce of creamer you had. As I’m shopping a gentleman comes up and I see him stand near me for a second and then he proceeded to get directly in front of me and start stocking the shelf. If he would’ve said, excuse me or can I get in here for one minute I would’ve been totally OK with it but instead he jumped directly in front of me and ignores me. I should’ve just walked out. Now the next occurrence happened the other day.. in a pinch I needed a sandwich tray, I just called to ask if you guys happen to have any premade ones already on the floor considering it was still right after the holidays and maybe you guys have some available. The associate on the phone offered that they can take some of the big sub sandwiches off the floor and cut them for me and make me a tray which I gracefully took. If that was too much of a problem they could have said no. I called at about 1 o’clock and wanted a 6 o’clock pick up. I get there at six and the associate first was confused, but then she found the sandwiches. Which the tray was not made yet. So now I had to wait for her to cut and make the tray for me right there in person.. I’m sorry, but I had assumed by me calling ahead and placing this order they would have premade the tray for me but the part that really pushed me over the edge was when twice the associate had other employees come up to her, and I can hear her saying yeah she placed this order today basically complaining about me to them. Which again if it was that much of a problem, the store didn’t have to offer to make it. They could’ve said no it’s not doable. Again, I should’ve just left and told her don’t worry about it. Definitely not enough meat and the sandwiches were dry and not even the sandwiches I really wanted, but I had appreciated the effort and of course wanted to pick up the tray because I thought it was already made. I’ve had way more negative experiences than positive and even though Jewel is cheaper, I would probably rather go to Strack and Van Til.
