    I will never in my entire lifetime use the online shopping ever again. I placed my order this morning at around 8:45 a.m. with a pickup window between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. it really wasn't a big deal since I had a lot of things that I had to do today anyway. I might add that I only had 19 items on my list. Anyway as I went about my day I decided to do my errands around 3:45 giving myself plenty of time to get to the store. I was in alerted that my pickup time was going to be between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.. so I go to the store and I am alerted at 4:18 p.m. that they just started shopping for my items. I start getting messages that items are out of stock so I go into the store and I find said items. Adding to my frustration. I guess I learned my lesson I will just shop on my own and save myself the headache.

    Assistant store manager Dave, from another Jewel, didn’t like my suggestions to make his store a little easier and more customer friendly, then ask me to leave the store after a brief discussion. He stated I insulted him. I asked him several times “what did I say to insult you”. He really didn’t have a clear answer. All I can say is he’s so sensitive that he should be put in a no-contact with customers position. I’ve been a faithful Jewel patron from the day the Munster 46321 store opened. Perhaps he didn’t like me wearing my IU hat and sweatshirt. Sad I have to go to different store to shop. SAD SAD SAD !!!

    The manager working the customer service desk is the most unhelpful and rude person i have ever met. The cashier ringing me out called her over for a coupon. She was too busy yelling at a young man about his break time. When she did finally make it over to us. She yelled at me and spoke over me the whole time. While trying to explain to her how the coupon works she started yelling at the customer wait in line at the service desk. I ended up walking out with out my order. What a waste of my time shopping and the staffs time who need to restock everything. I wouldn't have even cared about not excepting the coupon if she wouldn't have been yelling. The all happened on 12/23/25 at around 8am. This woman should not be working around people if she is so miserable.

    I’ve been going to the store since I was five years old. I walked through the parking lot and at the entrance there was so much garbage I videoed it blowing in the wind. I walked into the store to complain to the customer service desk about how bad the garbage was, and the girl at the customer service desk looked at me like I was crazy. I went to the self check after grabbing my few items and I had an over 21 item that popped a light. The girls who were managing the self check didn’t say a word to me. I stood there for five minutes before someone walked up behind me, scanned a badge without saying word and walked away. The customer service has gone to hell in a handbasket over there. And The store looks like trash

    I love Jewel. Just moved from Crown Point & never had a problem with ordering or the app or customer service. I put in an order last Saturday night, to be delivered Sunday afternoon. The app kept saying your order is being prepared even past the time that it would have been delivered. When I called customer service, they said that department was really busy and even if she transferred me, they’re not gonna pick up the phone. So then the next day, it says due to unforeseen circumstances, they cannot complete my order. And I had to pick a new delivery time which I did and once again it was not delivered. I tried calling over and over and finally got a hold of someone and she literally hung up on me after telling me to call DoorDash customer service. I called DoorDash and they said they have no record of my order or my phone number or name and he hung up on me. By this time, I have tried calling like eight times and sometimes the phone would just ring. The next day the App still said shopping will start soon and it was past the time that it was supposed to be delivered and I ended up just canceling it. The app prior was being wonky and wouldn’t let me cancel it or change the time which is why I tried to talk to an actual person. I don’t know if they are shorthanded or just don’t care.
