  Edit: so I’ve been checking back hoping the team at tropical smoothie would reach out to me to follow up about this horrific incident, today I saw they’ve responded to the most recent review so they’ve obviously seen this and just decided to ignore it. In my opinion this is a poor way to treat a loyal customer who has been frequenting your location multiple times a week since opening day. So today I went to into the store with my girlfriend to order some food and a smoothie, the employees that greeted us and took our order were great! But while waiting for our food a crew member came from the back and walked by mean mugging my girl… she asked “can I help you” and things went south real quick. They went back and forth for a moment before I stepped in and said something to him he put his hands on his waist and asked “are you talking to me” multiple times, I made it clear that I was and he said “wait right here I got something” and walked to the back. After a few minutes Brandon the manager returned asking what happened followed by the District manager who took over and sent Brandon back to the back. I was calm through all of this and told her what happened and that I wasn’t going to stand by while someone disrespects my girl, I told her that I’m a paying customer and was waiting on my food when he came out being rude and aggressive before telling me to wait right here so now I’m waiting for him to return. She told me that she’s staying there to make sure our paths don’t cross, she confirmed that I had received my food and made it clear that she was scared for my safety and wanted me to leave… as far as I know she never addressed the employee or did anything to make up for the horrible incident I experienced, the only thing I can assume is that he went to the back to get a weapon and she was just trying to get me out of the store as quick as possible before he returned. The fact that they have people who are that much of a loose cannon that it’s unsafe for me to order food inside tells me that someone from Tropical Headquarters needs to pay this location a visit and reassess how things are being run. And the fact that I was basically shoved out of the store with no apology for the behavior of the employee and without any evidence of the employee being disciplined really blows my mind. This would never fly at any other restaurant.

  Terrible smoothies. Way too much ice which makes the texture very thick that you can chew on it. Overpriced smoothie for little flavor, I ordered 2 peanut butter smoothies that tasted like nothing. Once home, I added extra peanut butter and coco powder then had to re-blend it to make it drinkable.Other Tropical Smoothie locations do not have this problem so it must be a skill issue at this new location. Very upsetting because I was excited for Tropical Smoothie to open in Muncie. Would not revisit this location. Photos show before and after reblending.

  The food and drinks are great and was and am super hopeful. I'm just consistently disappointed by the service unfortunately. I'm fine with waiting since I know things are made to order. There's been forgotten food items, forgetting they told us to pull up for our food in general, and overall employees seeming confused and not super attentive to the customer. I really want this business to continue in Muncie, but the service I've experienced here worries me.

  The drive thru guy was super rude. I went last week and waited to put in an order for 10 min he kept on saying one minute. I eventually gave up and went somewhere else. I did drive thru today and same thing happened. I pulled up to the window and he only got half my order.

  Food was great, the people working were great. Biggest thing is I think yall need to have a couple more people working. We waited 30 mins to get our food and it was not busy. I want yall to succeed so please get a little more help in there. I'll be a loyal customer. Thanks
