  Growing up in the Chicago area, Portillo's has been one of our favorite go-to places, so I was really excited that one was opening not too far from us. I always order a chopped salad with no blue (gorgonzola) cheese. First time I did that, it was smothered in cheese, but I was eating there so I brought it back up and they cheerfully gave me a new one. Second time, it was take out. My bad that I didn't check. Got all the way home and there was the cheese. Tonight, my husband ordered and he said "NO CHEESE" twice and asked the girl to repeat it. She said "I got it." He brought home the salad and it was full of the blue cheese. I looked at the receipt and it said, "No green onions." Ugh. So not only did it have something on there I can't eat---it was missing something I love. Tried to call the restaurant but it rang and rang and no one answered. People--when you're ordering take out from there, always check your bag! All that said---the place has amazing food.

  First time here. Not sure what all the hype is. Staff/service was great, Decor is cool but food just eh

  What a delicious burger! Crisp, fresh onion rings. And beer on tap! Yes! Their service was quick and friendly. We enjoyed all of Portillo's 🍔🍟🍺

  At this point its mandatory to check your food before moving in the drive through line. I don't think there is another drive through in town that gets my order wrong more often. Really sad, especially when I'm just ordering for myself, and from combos off the menu with no special alterations.

  Not too happy with the food these people put out. This is the second time our family has been to this establishment and we will never come back. The first time, they didn't have a shake machine working and the group of people in front of us took our food and said that their number was the same as ours. Theirs was one off. Took forever to get our food after they had to remake it. Another 20 minutes. Then today we went back because you know, folks have a bad day and wanted to try again. I asked for an Italian beef combo etc. and my food came plain. There were no peppers or anything on that damn roll. Just beef that filled half the roll and my chocolate cake shake barely had any cake in it. Our Valentine's Day lunch was ruined. Don't waste your time and peace getting food from here.
