  The manger was rude and there not extra breakfast sauce on my steak bagel I will not be going back there no reason to be rude at all

  This is absolutely the worst McDonald’s I have ever been in. The management is horrible. The food was wrong as usual, but even when I asked to correct it was treated like I was trying to steal from them. Would recommend to eat from a dumpster before I would ever eat at this McDonald’s again. They should really scrap the crew and start all over because it functions like nothing I’ve ever seen so unorganized and unprofessional.

  Date of Visit: 12/12/25 Hands down some of the best McDonald's food I've tasted in a minute. Was passing through during prime dinner hours and this location was flawless. Plenty of (new) options on Franklin Ave. these days, don't miss this McDonald's when in Michigan City!

  Called cooperate, after calling the store manager+ she hung up on me). They served food my daughter was deadly allergic to, AFTER I told them what not to put on it!! The staff was not friendly at all either.

  I’ve tried to go to this McDonald’s twice in the last year. I’m not a big fan of McDonald’s so I don’t go often, but on these two occasions I really wanted it. The first time I couldn’t get it because they were closed despite their hours saying they were open. Actually I drove to 3 McDonald’s locations. This one, the other one in Michigan City, and the one in New Buffalo. All 3 claimed to be open but all 3 were actually closed. Finally like a year later, today, I just wanted a vanilla shake after work. I pulled up to this location around 11:00pm. There was 1 single car in front of me. It took 7 minutes for them to tell that guy they would be with him shortly. About 3 minutes later he just drove off. The other line wasn’t moving at all either. So I pull up. She says the same thing to me, “we’ll be with you in just a moment.” After another 5 minutes of waiting I said screw it and pulled off as well. I’m just going to get food at the grocery store. I don’t have 15 minutes to wait to not even get my order taken and I can’t believe other people wanted McDonalds that badly to wait as well. The food is unhealthy and overpriced. The only 2 times I actually wanted to spend money with this business I couldn’t because they’re so dysfunctional that they can’t serve 3-4 cars in a 15 minute time span. They served 1 car in that time. The line moved up by one single car. They lost 2 cars worth of customers in that same time span. I’ve worked fast food and all other types of jobs. There’s 2 explanations. 1. They’re woefully understaffed and they just can’t keep up. 2. The more likely explanation, the workers literally couldn’t care less. They’re making the same money per hour whether they serve the customers or not. So why not just not serve them? The manager and owner clearly don’t care. Nothing will happen if they just lie about their hours and don’t serve customers so why bother doing it? Probably will never go to this location again. I’ll be happy if I never have McDonald’s again in my life honestly. So many better options out there
