    Every time we do a mobile order food is always missing and the sweet tea be hot it’s annoying keep coming back every single time an item is missing when we have a large order this every single time

    Once again forgot food. This time a free large fry with points but when I mentioned it to the worker at the window he asked if it was on my receipt. The ink was completely faded so I couldn’t tell and he just told me “sorry” with a smile. Didn’t even bother to look as his screen to see himself. Kid had absolutely zero customer service and clearly didn’t care about it. And after getting home to look closer at the receipt I could see the free fry and the points came out of my account. Too annoyed and didn’t bother calling.

    From 2019 til about 2021 this McDonald’s was the standard. Always fresh food, employees were very friendly, every now and again you’d need your order fixed (because accidents happen). Now it feels like people show up for a check but aren’t even doing the work. I work nearby, so here’s everything I’ve noticed over the last few years. Overall it’s the managers that have let this place go. I’ve not come across a single manager trained with any sense of hospitality. Not a smile, not a greeting, not even decent body language. I’d say they feel unapproachable. And of course employees follow their managers. Employees will make eye contact with you and then scurry to a place behind the counter that customers cannot see them, literally avoiding people. I’ve noticed it’s one of two reasons: 1) younger people that don’t want to interact with anyone, or 2) the employee doesn’t even speak english so they can’t help you And to go with that second point, everything about McDonald’s is in English. Wonder why your orders are CONSTANTLY wrong? Because the person making your order is guessing, they can’t read English. For a great example that shows this and how the employees don’t care, I just ordered a Double Cheeseburger, extra ketchup, extra onion. Not only was there NO ketchup or onion, I could tell how old the burger was just from the DRIED mustard on the wrapper. How long does it take mustard to dry? That burger was anything but fresh. There’s also usually a manager there bagging the food, which means a manager probably did this. Sounds like managers can’t even follow their basic Serv-Safe training. Whoever served that should have their Serv-Safe certification pulled immediately. Easy changes? Hold your managers accountable. Pay attention to the ones that really can’t (or won’t) do their job, fire them, bring in new managers. Everyone is replaceable. Short staffing is when you find the people that should be promoted, do care, and want to stick around. And employees? Let’s start real basic. You read and write in English or you don’t have a job. Don’t say you care for your employees either as you set them up to fail again and again. But best option? Either regional manager or a corporate visit. Maybe even a health department visit.
