Blue Sushi Sake Grill is all about good vibes and even better experiences. We bring people together through bold, sustainable ingredients, unforgettable flavors, and a vibrant atmosphere where inspired food, great conversation, and an iconic Happy Hour take center stage.
Blue Sushi is one of those spots we keep going back to.
We’ve tried a bunch of stuff and honestly, you can’t really miss here. For apps, the shishito peppers are great and the edamame is a must, especially the spicy garlic version.
For rolls, our go-to lineup is the San Marco, Crunchy Red, Godzilla Bomb, Hot Popper (I get it with no cream cheese), and the Lion King. Quick note on the Crunchy Red, don’t let the beet tempura freak you out. I can’t stand beets and you’d never know it’s in there.
If you’ve still got room, do not skip dessert. The chocolate spring rolls are ridiculous. Come hungry and bring a few people because it’s a lot, but it’s 100% worth it.
Simple way to put it, great sushi, fun menu, and we’ve never left disappointed.

Food was absolutely delicious. Drinks were flowing. Atmosphere was incredible. Unfortunately, the waiter who served us was extremely rude. When he first approached us, he was upset because he had a big table and stated "Hopefully, you make it worth my time" insinuating that we better leave a tip (which of course we should, but why would you say that?). Then when a girl received her order, it lacked a sauce drizzle that the menu said it would have. When she asked for the sauce, he went get it. When he returned, he sarcasticly said, "well they usually do a lite drizzle so you might not see it, but you can add as much as you want now." Then when we were leaving, we wanted to speak to the manager about ok but his behavior but he followed us out so that he could ask on of the of girls for their number.

We really enjoyed our time here at a convenient location. Plenty of parking, restaurant has a fun vibe inside. The food was great from start to finish. I'd recommend the Lion King as a good option. The service is friendly and very attentive. We really didn't wait long at all to sit or get our food which was quite nice for a fast lunch.

Update: we tried it again for my birthday last night. Unfortunately the service was not much better. Very slow, we were ignored quite a bit and I asked for our sushi not to be on boats because we ordered so many and it’s hard to move them around the table. They still came in boats and our sever just really took so long to get checked out and things asked for. We might still try take out but I’m just disappointed in the service each time.
We always enjoy the food, it is fresh, very interesting and delicious roll combinations. But the service is so upsetting here. First time we ever went we brought our prayer group, server was very inattentive and not friendly at all. We went back again because the food was delicious, well server was friendly but she brought us out two rolls wrong. She was hard to locate so we ate them and just paid our check when she made her way back to us. But this last time we went was the most disappointing, we didn’t have a reservation. Did not mind waiting the 1hr and a half, it was the first time I brought my sister here and we didn’t want to settle for any sushi. Our server had another party she was taking care of so she didn’t have much time to tend to us. That’s fine, but when she did come she was very short, and when I was ordering our rolls (as we order at least 10 each time) she rolled her eyes and said “ you’re adding more?”. We brushed it off and laughed that we love getting the boat. She again didn’t check on us for much but was noticeably annoyed when my sister asked for a fork. At the end for the bill, I was checking out on the tablet and went to adjust my tip manually instead of using the suggested average. She pulled the tablet back and said that the tips are already totaled for me. I’m not sure if she thought I wasn’t going to tip or I was trying to go below 20% but I just politely told her I was familiar with toast. We are service industry ourselves and I try to always leave at least 30%. We will be back for the sushi but I would suggest that a little more kindness or grace can really be displayed for the customers, $200+ meal is an experience and a blessing to enjoy especially in our climate today. We should love coming not dread deciding if we will be treated kindly during our dinner.

Honestly, i was really excited to try this place. It had been all over tik tok and all over top sushi place in Indy lists. I have to say i left wondering if i had the worst luck and caught them on a bad day or if those reviews were unfamiliar with good sushi.
Was disappointed to have sushi that tasted like Kroger sushi but with better presentation. The fish tasted okay at best. The rice was mushy and very much grocery store tasting.
There are places within a short distance from here that produce a far better product and for a similar or better price point.
Lastly, the tables were so sticky the menus had to be peeled off them. In my time in restaurants this is indicative of a dirty table cleaning towel used for multiple tables and the lack of sanitation there makes me worry about what we can’t see behind the scenes.
Again i am really hoping i just caught them on a bad day but i really do not understand the hype around this place
