We came in at about 7:45pm on a Saturday. It wasn't busy, but that didnt immediately send off any warnings. We had a good server who brought out our drinks quickly. The issues started with our food. The appetizers were fine, nothing of note to write about. However, our steaks were "plated wrong" with my steak being over cooked, and my spouse's being under. The issue being that my spouse asked for his to be medium well and it was medium, and I asked for medium rare and was given medium well. When we sent them back they just brought back out the same ones with an apology. The manager did agree to make me another steak, and graciously didn't charge us for it. Though we had to ask for our salads and bread she never once came back for a table touch or to apologize for the many issues we had with our food. I am never one to ask for discounted checks due to food or service but for this event even offering one would have been better than nothing. Our server apologized, and we just took the remainder of our underseasoned steaks home for our dogs. I had wanted to come back here for a date night for a few weeks and left so disappointed it will be a long time before I come back, if I do at all.

How disappointing. We hadn’t been to Bonefish since moving away from Indy about 10 years ago and decided to meet there for a family adult birthday lunch. It was so dark where we sat that it was difficult to read the menu. One of our party questioned why we weren’t given brunch menus, as she had checked before coming and brunch was served until 3:00 ( we weren’t there much earlier, so I asked the server and he said he didn’t know if they were still serving brunch at 12:30 or not, would check, and came back with brunch menus. All of the drinks we ordered were left in a clump at one end of our table to sort out. One iced tea was missing, so we had to wave down the server for that. One of our party requested a straw (not enough provided) and had to ask again when our food came. While the appetizers were good, my grilled shrimp and scallops were overcooked, the shrimp dry. Other members of the party said that while the food was edible, it was definitely not up to the quality we were used to getting at Bonefish. Disappointing and we definitely will not make the effort to return.

Had a very “blah” experience at BF last evening. Walked in at 5:45 and place was only 1/4 full. Zero vibe! Shocking! Server was kind and sweet but not good. Her third night and shouldn’t have been by herself! When I made my on-line reservation I was asked if this was a special event. I checked anniversary. Nothing ever mentioned by the server. In the grand scheme of things, not a big deal but why ask? Wife and I both ordered wine. She ordered a moscato. It took forever when the server came back and said they were out of moscato. How can that be at 5:45 on a Monday night? Heck there is a liquor store across the street. Somebody run across and buy a couple of bottles of Moscato! Finally my wine came and it was a white wine not the Merlot I ordered. Finally after 20 minutes we got our wine at different times with my wife having a Rose. It took forever to toast our 52nd anniversary. We’ve always held BF in very high regard. A favorite mid end chain. Maybe like other chains it has run its course. I know we won’t return. Too many other options! I go back to my original statement, 1/4 full and no vibe. We now know why that was the case. Other folks have probably shared the same experience as us!

The food and service was great, no complaints. I asked for a to go box and they changed to one that's garage, my sauce was at the bottom of the bag and it busted, my friend bag busted and the food dropped to the ground, what a waste, the old take carryout boxes or whatever they used with a secure lid was much better.
