This was our first time there and the service sucked thanks to her. The food itself was average. I got the double cheese burger and was decent but nothing to write home about. My wife got the chilli cheese dog and it was not all that good, the dog needed cooked as it was not even warm or grilled at all. The fries where good though.

- JMJohn McFallMar 21, 20264.0Went to Portillo’s for the first time for lunch today and it had a great nostalgic vibe and diner feel to it. Overall the food was good and I liked the burger and fries. The only two things that I wanted to say is number one the staff was courteous and we had one person walk by our table and ask how everything was which was cool. But the staff overall wasn’t smiling and very engaging other than calling out ticket numbers. The second thing is that we paid over $40 for a couple of burger meals, a hot dog, and a salad. Seems a bit pricey.

Food is nothing special. The bacon in my burger was undercooked and chewy which ruined the burger. Waited 30 mins to just get the meals and had to pull my bacon off the burger cuz i didn't want to wait another 30 mins to have them remake it right. Atmosphere is very nice; but the sitting area could use better cleaning. Looked for mustard, couldn't locate any. Trays are bulky and eating in the restaurant you're given, in our case, 3 of them, one tray. It would have been easier to just hand us the food and drinks without the tray
