  This restaurant was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and beautifully set up, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional—they made sure everything was just right without being overwhelming. The food was outstanding. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and presented perfectly. You can truly tell they care about quality and detail in every bite. From the appetizers to dessert, everything exceeded expectations. Overall, it was an amazing dining experience, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for exceptional food and service. I will definitely be coming back!

  The service and food were incredible. For small inconveniences to the diner they made great efforts to make amends. I can’t recommend this place enough. The mint lemonade is the perfect combination of sweet and tart. The lamb was cooked to perfection and the rice was fluffy and fragrant. Try this place as soon as possible.

  We have an ever growing list of Indy restaurants we want to try. But we don't always feel like driving across town or taking a risk on a new place so often a nearby reliable spot wins out. But we are so glad we made the effort today to try Kanoons. Everything was beautiful (the decor, free parking nearby, the flavors and smells, the attentive and sweet young server). We tried 3 appetizers and 2 smoked meats, a dessert and several beverages. Hoosiers make everything too sweet for my taste so it was a relief to eat a drink a balanced meal. The labneh had a great tang along with the smooth olive oil, the sliced sausage appetizer had an awesome amount of garlic, the falafel even won over my antifalafel husband. That's usually a me only dish but it was not dry at all (his usual complaint) and the hummus was smooth and tahini forward. Every little lettuce, pepper, and pickled veg tarnishing each plate added the acid needed. My fella ordered lamb shoulder and beef shank. The lamb shoulder and green sauce that came with it takes the "Best Bite" award. He opted for bulgar over rice which was also delicious. The mint lemonade was very mojito minus the booze, the chai was delightful and the turkish coffee was perfect. Out of principle we ordered baklava and expected a small square of Phyllo drenched in overly sweet honey and a hint of pistachio. Instead we encountered a pie sized slice of extra nutty baklava with enough sweet to take the edge off of the coffee but not the usual tooth melting sugar assault that passes for baklava at most places. Lovely. Just lovely. It was just at 100 without tip. An absolute deal!

  We had an amazing experience here and a huge part of that was thanks to Ahmad! From the moment we sat down, Ahmad provided absolutely phenomenal service. He was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing. He knew the menu inside and out, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything came out perfectly. You could tell he genuinely cared about our experience and wanted us to enjoy every part of our meal. Our food arrived promptly, and he checked in just the right amount to make sure we were happy. His positive attitude and professionalism really stood out and elevated the entire dining experience. If you’re dining here definitely ask for Ahmad — he’ll take great care of you. We’ll absolutely be back!

  This was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time, and Kanoon immediately became one of our top five favorite restaurants in the state of Indiana. Every member of the staff was incredible. They immediately found us seating, which was impressive with how busy they were. Our server, Rayan, took plenty of time to explain the menu and suggest some of his favorites, and he checked in on us consistently to make sure we were doing all right and to refill drinks. I strongly recommend getting their short ribs, and my wife loved their mixed grill. For both of them, definitely take them up on the honey drizzle because it takes it to the next level!
