  The restaurant is very well decorated and welcoming. Our server was super friendly, and explained their entire menu, and gave us honest opinions on food options which was appreciated. We started with mint lemonade was so refreshing. We got borak as an appetizer and it was delicious, cheese and meat filling. For the main we got the beef rib which was succulent and all the sauce options that came with it paired so nicely. And the Knafeh was really tasty and light.and had a fun cheese pull. I would really recommend stopping in here!! Great service and food.

  I was so excited to visit this restaurant with my husband after seeing it on social media. Sadly ended up super disappointed instead. After placing a to-go order, rushing back to work, and realizing that the meat portion was only 1/2 of what the menu said. The owner was yelled at us over the phone that he "never intended" to give the full meat portion and he's losing money when all we asked is if we can receive a partial refund because we thought it was an error. We asked this before he said he "never intended" to give the full amount listed on the menu. He said we could leave work and drive the half hour back for the portion that was missing, but due to not being able to leave work, we asked for just a partial refund since we didn't receive what we paid for. He continued to yell that he's losing money and he's "absolutely" not refunding a cent. I'd rather support a business that can speak to customers with basic decency and not yelling (staff was great, just not the owner)..

  I placed a to-go order during work lunch break for their Smoked Shish Tawook that their menu said comes with 2 skewers. After realizing that it was shorted to only one skewer, I called and the owner said he "never intended to give 2", despite the menu description. If the menu reflected 1 skewer, that would've been fine. Paying for something and only receiving half of it due to intentionally shorting people is the problem. On top of the way he yells at people. I asked for a partial refund and he said the only thing we can do is leave work, drive a half hour back, and he will give the missing food. That "he couldn't give a partial refund because he is losing money on the order". Disappointed that the food was intentionally shorted and money was taken anyways. The remaining food orders were burnt and dry, but the girl who brought the food and took the order was nice. Overall, not surprised the place was empty with someone like that calling the shots. We would not recommend any of our family or friends to go here. There are many better Halal restaurants in the area.

  MashaAllah, this place was an amazing experience from start to finish. The presentation alone was stunning — from the flame to the vegetables, which was both dramatic and delicious. The meats were tender, flavorful, and clearly high quality. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, alḥamdulillāh. Our waiter Adam was top tier! What really stood out was that the meat is zabiha halal, which gave us so much peace of mind while dining. It’s not easy to find places that take halal standards seriously and deliver on flavor, so this was truly appreciated. The rice and sides paired beautifully with the meats, and the portions were generous — perfect for sharing.

  We were so pleasantly surprised by Kanoon! This place is truly one of the most authentic and delicious Middle Eastern restaurants I’ve visited in the U.S. The flavors instantly transported me back to the time I lived in the ME. Every dish we tried was phenomenal. The falafel — oh my goodness — hands down the best I’ve had in the U.S. (comparing to the west coast and east coast). The kibbeh was perfection, and the borak, fattoush, and hummus were all incredibly fresh and flavorful. We loved every single bite. The meats were another highlight — cooked so perfectly they practically fell off the bone. The owners and staff were absolutely lovely — so welcoming and genuine. We were able to chat a bit and learn more about them, which made the experience feel extra special. Kanoon exceeded our expectations in every way. This is now my husband's and I's favorite restaurant in Indianapolis/Fishers. We can’t wait to come back and try more. Highly, highly recommend..
