💚 Wide variety on menu feature unique dishes. 💚 I appreciated having some healthier dishes to choose from. 💚 Great location on the square and cool digs inside. 💚 Good music playing. 🆗 Service was mediocre. Staff seemed preoccupied with personal lives. 🆗 While the roasted beats in the salad bearing their name were fabulous, the grilled shrimps were underdone. Quality may be hit or miss. Those beats are carrying this rating—never had them so good!

The food was pretty good, but definitely not worth the price. For 4 children & 2 adults, getting only salads, soup, & fries to share, we spent almost $200 (without drinks). The truffle fries were worth the trip, I would come back for just those.

Truly awful experience. We had a reservation for four and still waited nearly an hour for a table. What’s the point of booking ahead? We were told we’d get a text when the table was ready, so we left and went to the consignment shop across the street. No text ever came. We finally walked back to check on things and the hostess said she was “just about to text us” that our table was ready. She grabbed two silverware bundles (for four people) from under a pile of dirty rags and led us to the table, only to say the table still needed to be wiped down. So clearly it wasn’t ready, and it felt like we’d actually been forgotten. Despite the rough start, we decided to stick it out because of the reviews and how great the food looked on the tables around us. Big mistake. When ordering, my husband was told they were out of fish and chips. He then asked for the Philly cheesesteak, also out. He finally settled on a burger. My son ordered ramen. I got the General Tso’s (the server said it was their best dish). My daughter had a kids cheeseburger because the server mentioned it (there’s no kids menu listed). The ramen was so sweet that it overpowered any other flavors in the dish and my son couldn’t eat it… ramen is traditionally a savory/umami dish, so this was unexpected. I asked if we could swap it for a burger, thinking that would be quick and easy, and was told the kitchen was too backed up and that it would take a long time, but they could bring soy sauce? Not helpful. My son chose not to eat rather than make us all wait another hour on his food to arrive. The food was completely underwhelming. The burger had no flavor. Fries were just okay (extra $2 not worth the truffle fries that were no different from my daughters regular fries. They just had a cold pile of Parmesan on top.). General Tso’s tasted like something from the grocery store freezer aisle. The chicken itself was high quality, but the rice wasn’t warm, the sauce was runny and tasted artificial. I’m not someone who typically leaves negative reviews (this is actually my first). I usually just move on, but this experience was too disappointing not to warn others. This place feels like all hype. We spent a significant amount of money for subpar food (at best) and poor service. “Fancy” menu descriptions and high prices don’t make the food taste good. They also seem to struggle with reservation management and ordering enough food to get through dinner service. I would not recommend.

Service was slow, we sat for over 20 minutes before our server approached us. Over an hour before we ordered food. The ramen was tepid when it arrived, the Korean chicken was sweet with very little heat, my son did like the pizza. We had to flag our server down to get refills. I can only take so much of the bluegrass music and we were set by the door and got blasted with cold air every time someone came in. I will not go back. 2 adults and a child a little over $100. Not worth the money.

Whoa! 1816 nails it on all levels! The food was presented wonderfully and tasted even better. Duck Nachos to start, tons of flavor and the fresh toppings finished it well. Quite a large portion as well. Entrees: Special of the night beef tenderloin(filet) beef fried rice and an exquisite sauce. Bison and Duck meatloaf over mash with peas and Gravy. The meatloaf was extremely flavorful the gravy rich and delicious perfectly complimenting the mashed and peas. The portions on the beef tenderloin were amazing beef in every bite and I couldn't even finish the rice. Simply amazing attention to food taste preparation and detail. Service was amazing, good teamwork amongst staff. Slow Wednesday and we showed up kind of late but staff were friendly and inviting. Mayflower mixed drink was top notch as well. Can't wait to go back!
