Let me start by saying that I have eaten at many Taco Bells in my life, but nothing—nothing—prepared me for the fever-dream disaster that happened at this location. This entire experience felt like a mixture of a prank show, a war zone, and a wildlife documentary gone wrong.
When I first walked in, the place was already tense. A guy named Tyrell—who I later found out was arguing with another customer over who “stole his Baja Blast”—was in the middle of a shouting match. At first, I just assumed it was the usual Taco Bell chaos. But then, Tyrell decided he had beef with me. Apparently, I looked like someone who “owed him nacho money.” Before I could even respond, a full-on scuffle broke out. Chairs shifted, napkins flew, and I’m pretty sure someone yelled “WORLDSTAR.”
While this was happening, I noticed an employee behind the counter who looked incredibly lost. Turns out he used to work at McDonald’s but got fired—his words, not mine—for “accidentally deep-frying a straw wrapper.” This man should not have been near heavy machinery, let alone the machinery that makes my food.
But it gets better.
After the fight died down and I made it to the counter alive, I ordered a simple soft taco. Easy. Safe. No risk. Or so I thought. When I sat down and opened the wrapper, I immediately knew something was wrong. There, inside my taco—nestled between the lettuce and shredded cheese like it was paying rent—was a dead rat. Not a tiny mouse. Not a suspicious meat chunk. A full, unmistakable rat.
I’m not sure what horrified me more: the rat itself or the fact that the employee just shrugged and said, “Well, it’s protein.” Meanwhile, the former McDonald’s employee tried to pick it up with tongs and dropped it three times.
I should have left then. Truly. But the universe wasn’t done with me.
While I demanded a refund, the employee at the back was trying to re-light the stove. It made a noise that can only be described as demonic gargling—and then the entire stove exploded. Flames shot out, everyone screamed, and the former McDonald’s guy yelled, “NOT AGAIN!” which suggests this was not an isolated incident.
The fire alarm went off, the lights flickered, Tyrell ran out with three unpaid tacos, and I stood there holding the rat taco from hell wondering what life choices brought me here.
This Taco Bell shouldn’t be open. It shouldn’t be standing. Honestly, it should be studied by scientists.
Avoid this place at all costs. If you value your health, your sanity, or your ability to look at a taco ever again, go literally anywhere else.
