- BBBri3 days ago1.0This morning I was in the McDonald’s drive-thru before taking my daughter to school. A manager, Ashley Hope, asked me to pull forward to spot one because my order wasn’t ready, which I completely understood and had no issue with. I simply asked how long it would be since I was on a time schedule to get my child to school. I felt that her tone and demeanor were unnecessarily rude when she replied “about a minute and a half.” After I pulled forward, my relative who was behind me in line told me that Ashley made the comment, “like you can’t wait two minutes,” before the GM came out with my food. I wasn’t being impatient or demanding. I was only asking a reasonable question so I could plan my time. The comment and tone felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially toward a customer who was polite and just trying to get a child to school on time. I understand that delays happen and I had no problem waiting. However, customer service should still be respectful, and remarks like that should not be made about customers. And if they are made, don’t do it in front of other customers where they can hear you. I hope this can be addressed so others don’t have a similar experience.
