Visiting from out of town, and I ordered nearly $50 worth of food at this location. However, immediately upon placing the order I was stopped by miles of a First Responder Memorial procession, and was obviously turned around by the police. No big deal, I’ll figure something out.
I called the store and no answer. I called again, no answer. I called a third time and received a hold tone like they took the phone off the hook. I called two more times. I called the 800-Arby’s number and the person told me the store would call me back to cancel the order, but to keep calling. (Photo of my call logs attached).
I called again and finally someone picked-up. Sweet, easy fix right? Nope!
They gave my food to a DoorDash driver, so the order had been picked-up. Now there wasn’t an order to cancel.
They were very kind and offered to remake my food, but having already returned to my hotel I declined. They persisted, I declined.
The manager, Ester, offered to send an employee to my hotel. Uhh, seriously?
That’s a kind gesture, but you don’t know me! Seems reckless endangerment and neglectful duty of due care if you ask me.
If an employee reads this, never go to a strangers hotel alone!
This is actually why I’m writing this review. Yes, I’m annoyed I have to dispute a charge with my bank for using the Arby’s App, and the store gave my food to a door dash driver. Annoying, but such is life.
But to offer to send some high school cashier to my hotel, alone, absurd!
