I had placed an order in the app, and I noticed that the last minute after I went to pay, I had inadvertently sent my order to a different location. I was able to cancel the order in the app however I used a promotion for a $.99 coffee and because I had used the promotion in the app, I could no longer use the promotion when I went into the actual restaurant. I explained to the woman behind the counter very politely what happened, and that unfortunately the promotion was gone and she told me she’s not allowed to honor that promotion. She could not honor my $.99 coffee however she did say that she would honor it even though she wasn’t supposed to with a whole heaping of attitude. I asked her if she didn’t believe me and I had no problem showing her in the app that I had placed the order and it was canceled, but she didn’t wanna hear all that, I was inconveniencing her morning. I will say this she was willing to honor the $.99 coffee but what I didn’t appreciate was the attitude, when I called her out for her attitude, she proceeded to walk away and ignore me when I asked her why she didn’t want to just talk to me about what was going on. I also wanted to place an order for a value meal. But she was clearly done talking to me. I really don’t understand what is happening in this world. Customer service is truly an afterthought, people are angry, don’t even wanna have conversations anymore. I appreciate that you gave me the free coffee, but man, the attitude was not needed. I don’t really feel like I need to come back to this McDonald’s. I’m also aware that this owner has multiple McDonald’s in the area and I will be sure to choose one that is managed by a different owner if this is the kind of customer service they feel is acceptable from their employees. Do better!
