  We arrived at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen on a Saturday at noon with a party of 16. The restaurant was only about half full, yet we still waited 40 minutes just to be seated. They had five people working the host booth plus a security guard by the door, but claimed they were too short-staffed on servers to seat us together. They seated us four at a time, with a few minutes wait between each group. We thought we were being split up and separated, but all four tables of four ended up right next to each other anyway — which left us wondering what the point was of dragging out the seating process like that. The host team was visibly annoyed the entire time, rolling their eyes and giving us looks like we were a huge inconvenience. They even made us wait off to the side in a separate room. One host told us they don’t take reservations over the phone while another said they do. Once seated (45 minutes after arrival), service was still a complete mess. Only three of the four tables had water, two tables still didn’t even have menus, and only one table originally had a waiter helping them. Service eventually split between two waiters, but server Levi was a great server — attentive and always present — and basically ended up taking over all four tables anyway. That helped a lot. Two full hours after we first walked in, the entrees finally arrived. By then, half our party was so irritated by the endless wait that they quickly ate just so we could pay the bill and leave. The other half barely touched their food because it had taken so long and simply asked for it to go. The poor organization, conflicting information from the hosts, endless delays, and complete lack of urgency from the front-of-house team completely killed any appetite or excitement for the meal. We expected basic hospitality and coordination for a large group on a slow Saturday afternoon — we got very little of it.

  Came here to celebrate my birthday. It was my first time experiencing the restaurant and I must say everything was phenomenal! Made reservations so I was seated right away my server was very polite, appetizer was outstanding! I ordered the fondue dip OMG chefs kiss! Now there was a bit of a mixup in the kitchen with my meal but my server and his team made sure I was well accommodated and I was even given a birthday dessert which was delicious! I enjoyed my entire meal and night here ! And I definitely will be returning.

  Our server was angelina. Nastiest attitude ever. Very disrespectful to customers and the manager. The manager Jasmine was awesome in addressing the situation but as she was speaking with us angelina walked back to the table and tried to engage us negatively in the presence of the manager. Pappadeaux you have to do better at staffing with quality people and not just warm bodies. This is the worst experience WE have ever had at Pappadeaux. Really unbelievable.

  We recently celebrated my daughter’s 18th birthday here, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. It started with incorrect drinks, then we were told certain menu items weren’t available, and throughout the night we kept receiving wrong or missing food items. It felt very disorganized, which took away from what should have been a special celebration. To be fair, the staff did try to make it right by offering free sides and dessert, which we appreciated. However, the overall service really needs improvement—especially when people are trusting you with important occasions.

  Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen ​Occasion: Department Lunch Meeting ​I recently visited Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen for a mid-week department lunch meeting, and the experience was top-tier from start to finish. ​The Atmosphere & Service ​The staff was fantastic—attentive without being intrusive, which is exactly what you want during a professional lunch. They handled our group with ease and ensured everything moved at a great pace. FYI: They are currently operating on a reservations-only basis, so be sure to plan ahead if you’re heading there with a group. ​The Food ​I opted for the Crawfish Combination, and it did not disappoint. The plate featured a generous portion of Crawfish Étouffée and Fried Crawfish, served over a bed of well-seasoned dirty rice. ​The Étouffée: The sauce was rich, savory, and loaded with tender crawfish tails. The fresh green onion garnish added a nice brightness to the dish. ​The Fried Crawfish: Perfectly breaded and golden-brown. They provided a satisfying crunch that contrasted well with the smothered étouffée. ​The Dirty Rice: Authentic and flavorful, tieing the entire Cajun-inspired meal together.
