  My wife told me not to go here because they mess up orders. I went anways, and sure enough, they messed up my order. Now my wife gloating, and I'm driving back to McDonalds to pick up the missing food. What's the point of fast food if it's not convenient?

  ⭐ 1/5 — Missing Order + Rude "Manager" on the Phone McDonald's – Westmont, IL | March 14, 2026 @ 4:46 PM Placed a mobile order, went through the drive-thru, and was asked to pull forward to spot #1 while my food was "prepared fresh." No problem — I waited. Got my order, drove home, and discovered part of my order was missing. Again, no problem. I called the restaurant to sort it out — and that's when things went completely off the rails. A female employee answered. I asked her name before explaining my issue. Her response? She told me she'd decide whether giving her name was necessary once she heard my problem. I asked to speak to a manager. She claimed to be the manager on duty and offered no other option except to "call back tomorrow." I explained — calmly — that I needed her name so I'd have a record of who I spoke with in case the issue wasn't resolved. Her response: "I don't feel comfortable giving out my name." I ended the call. I've ordered from this location before and dealt with missing items the right way — called in, gave my name, got the name of who I spoke with, and returned with that confirmation. That process worked. What happened today was completely unacceptable. Whether or not this employee was having a bad day, that is NOT how you handle a customer with a legitimate complaint — especially if you're representing yourself as a manager on duty. Refusing to identify yourself, gatekeeping your own name before even hearing the issue, and offering zero resolution is not customer service. It's a failure of basic professionalism. Whoever is responsible for this location needs to address phone etiquette and customer service training — starting at the management level.

  The manager gave me a condescending look after I told her I was getting my online order and trying to show her the order number, but she gave that look and said “if its the same number its your order honey”. Just showing honesty my dear ma’am or miss.
