As soon as we walked in they were rude and I just felt unsteady and uncomfortable. I was not welcomed and felt like I was doing them a disservice. The service was preposterous and rude. I also heard a worker swear under their breath after seeing us come in. It felt like they felt threatened because we were Arab. They probably assumed we were up to no good. Because when another ethnicity group walked in it seemed like they were treated much better.

Between this and the Crestwood Location, I’m not sure which has the lazier staff. We waited inside at a register for 5 minutes with employees walking past us, ignoring us. Forcing us to instead go through the drive-thru and wait even longer there. But I guess it paid off since the person couldn’t count our cash and gave us half off our order 🤷🏻♂️ Portillos has gone down hill.

I’ve been going to this location for years. But the last two times it has not met the standards previously. I’ve noticed that there are a lot of young people in there and no managers that are probably over the age of 25. It seems as the standards have went down. The beef is not tender as it used to be my ticket. Tonight was ticket 300 and nothing about this experience will ever make me go back there. I used to go to the one in Homewood, Illinois, but changed to Tinley Park now I do not know if I would ever go back to Portillo‘s again. Portillo‘s used to have the best Italian beef. In Chicago land but now they are just mediocre and nothing special about them.

It took me awhile to earn Top dog status using the new perks system because they missed some of my visits in the app. For my anniversary I received a Free Cake perk when I went to retrieve it I was told it’s just a slice while my wife’s perk clearly said “slice of cake” for her birthday perk. Mine says “Free Cake”. Portillo’s is slipping big time from missed items to missed visits not this False advertising!

Where to begin - when arriving there was no staff at the pickup counter with others already waiting for their orders. I heard a staff member in red make a comment that management needs to start managing since people were waiting. That being said someone finally came to the counter and asked my name. The person in black (assuming management?) said my order was ready to go, this was around 3:50. I had placed my order a few days prior for a 3:45pm pick up time.Time had passed with no updates, around 4pm I was told that they were just waiting on the pasta to be baked and it would take another 10 minutes. At 4:15pm my order was still not ready or boxed. Someone had finally started to box up the salad, peppers, and serving necessities. Around 4:20ish I was finally brought my food. I had waited over 40 minutes to get food that was no where near ready to go as a pre order catering. I was even more disappointed that the staff could seem to care less - not one person tried to remedy the situation and it was always someone else walking over to say that my order was "almost" ready or that they don't know what happened as they just started their shift. It SHOULD have been ready upon my arrival. Thats the whole point of the preorder catering. I was even more thrown from this experience when I was missing the dressing for the salad and the pasta was barely warm. After the frustration of waiting for my food, something was missing and the food quality wasn't that great. This location is BEYOND disappointing - spent over $200 for all this. Needless to say I will NEVER be ordering from this location again.
