  I shop here when I want to buy higher-quality, name-brand items. Their deli also makes some great on-the go choices which are great for blue-collar men such as myself.

  This store's ban on me is aging quite horribly. Maybe I should politely ask the manager to apologize to me for banning me from this store of his.

  There was an employee that decided to complete a survey on the machine, at the self checkout, that I was using. He basically got in front of me, selected the all the best reviews and submitted the survey. I didn't get the chance to say anything before he decided to do that. It was a male employee working at the self checkout between 12:35 pm and 12:45 today, Wednesday, March 25th. I don't want a survey on my experience at Jewel, to be completed by one of the employees. It defeats the purpose of getting customer reviews. They are not called employee reviews. This is the main jewel I come to, and there's usually no problem. I would probably rate it at least 4 stars if it wasn't for this experience. I ended up leaving my items for this reason. I'll have to get them at a different location today.

  I don’t usually write reviews, but this one is honestly necessary. I placed a Flash order at the Jewel-Osco on 217 Irving Park Rd thinking it would save me time. Instead, almost everything I ordered was marked out of stock or substituted. I’m talking basic stuff like deli cheese, ham, and bread… while the deli was literally open. What really got me is I went into the store myself right after and found multiple of the same items that were supposedly “unavailable.” So at that point, what’s actually going on here? Because it’s clearly not an inventory issue. Then the substitutions made it worse. A $4.99 item got swapped for a $17.49 one with no real consideration. That’s not a small difference. I even brought the items I found straight to the manager, thinking it would be a quick fix. Instead, I was left standing there for over 30 minutes with no real help. No urgency, no accountability, nothing. I ended up just asking for a refund because the whole point of ordering ahead was completely wasted. This store seriously needs to get it together when it comes to online orders. If customers can walk in and find items your system says are out of stock, that’s a problem. Honestly just a frustrating experience all around and a complete waste of time.
