- SSSteve SwartwoodFeb 23, 20261.0The meat department in this store is so rude. There is a big sign that says they will custom cut any piece of meat. I had a large chuck roast that I asked to be cut into 3/4 inch slabs. The butcher told me it would be easier if he just cut a new roast for me. He did, and then charged me an extra 2$/pound for the meat. He said it was because it was no longer a Chuck roast, but was now chuck eye steaks that he "had to cut" for me. I tried to explain to him that he chose to cut new and that I wanted the piece of meat that I had selected. He told me to take my compliaints up front. Got a run around from customer service stating that it was additional service and that they "had' to charge more. Same meat, same packaging, but asked to "happily custom cut any piece of meat"..... Just rude and hard to deal with. I do my best to avoid this Jewel as others are much more accomadating and friendly

Because of this I couldn’t be charged to refill my water, only to exchange it. I’ll be cutting jewel out of our grocery rotation from now on.
