I tried Qdoba for the very first time this past November at an airport and fell in love with it unfortunately where I live the closest one is almost 2 hours away. My mother happens to live down the street from one in Springfield, Illinois. I was just recently there about a week ago and was ecstatic to have it again. So my mother and I visited the location on Wabash, we went in and was greeted by a Light skin heavyset young man who started to make our orders as he began to make mine. I asked him a question about something. I can’t remember exactly what it was, but I do remember that he was sweating profusely and begin to cough while he was making my quesadilla I didn’t make a big fuss about it as a matter of fact, I didn’t even mention it. He proceeded to finish my quesadilla, but then coughed again this time he coughed into his shirt, the first time he coughed all over my food I went towards the end to pay for the food, sat down at the table with my mother who had already gotten her food as we waited for mine at this point it started to get a little crowded in the restaurant, but when we initially got there there was no one there but us and a few people that were sitting down already with their food eating so I’m sitting at the table with my mother waiting for my quesadilla. 15 minutes passes by and I’m thinking OK. I know that they are a little busy but where is my food so my mother goes to the cashier who tells her that it Had to be remade because it got ruined inside of the Machine that they used to make the Quesadilla. I’m like OK no problem because in my mind after witnessing the worker cough on my food I’m thinking everything happens for a reason. I’ll get a fresh one remade no problem. I start to walk back to the line and then all of a sudden they produce a box with what they said was actually my quesadilla and the one that had gotten ruined Had actually belonged to another customer so at this point I’m confused because if my food was already done, where was it all this time we waited over 15 minutes so I grabbed the food. I opened the box and there was no cheese on the outside and I ordered a cheese crusted quesadilla so I tell the young man there’s no cheese and he says OK fine I’ll remake it but he’s very frustrated so once I sense, how annoyed he is it annoys me and I tell him no thank you I’ll just get a refund at this point. He’s pissed off because I don’t want him to remake my food given that he has a complete attitude so he proceeds to say and for the record there is cheese on it, sweetheart, so I say there is no cheese on it sweetheart, and either way at this point, I would just like my money back he kept antagonizing me going back-and-forth, saying little smart things so at this point, I feel disrespected and I say please stop talking to me. Just give me my money back because this is not what you wanna do with Me this is BS. I waited over 15 minutes for my food just for you to give me the wrong food. He starts yelling if you wanna curse you can get your refund and get the hell out and I said I’m leaving anyway the manager is standing there witnessing all of this. He asked me what it is that I wanted to do. I said I really just want a refund at this point so that I can leave please he says OK no problem. Let me take care of these customers and I got you. The manager was extremely professional, helpful and accommodating, and I appreciate him for his professionalism because the way that I was yelled at in this restaurant was completely unacceptable. No one should be treated that way, especially not a paying customer. The manager was overly apologetic and I appreciate him in the end I ended up getting a refund. I wish I had gotten the manager’s name so that I could have mentioned it , but he was an African-American male with locs. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I actually love the food, but I will never Patronize an establishment that feels comfortable disrespecting customers . I was humiliated and I will never return!

Love Qdoba. Take Q over Chipotle all-day. However, they are ALWAYS out of Taco salad bowls (tortilla bowls). If you go there 10 times, you might get one bowl out of 10 tries. I want to get the tortilla bowl soup, but I never can, Yet, it’s always advertised. Just wish they would stock pile them, because they’re super simple to make

About halfway through a burrito, I found the plastic they use to cover pans in the coolers. Showed the manager, left without another word.
