The poor manager probably thought I was coming up to yell and I wasn’t just coming up to see if they had any updates , I explained the birthday situation and how late it was and they were wonderful and not only gave the kids some food to tide them over while we made other plans but almost all the employees came to the register to sing my boy happy birthday . I greatly appreciate you employees of portillos shorewood for making the best out of a not great situation for everyone . I used to work at this location was a teenager and it’s great to see it still being run by some great people . Thanks!

I usually take the food home and eat, but the problem is it's a toss up if your order will be right. I just went last night, and they messed up 2 different ways: they made my wife's beef plain when it was supposed to have peppers and mozzarella on it, and they forgot to give me my shake too. I didn't realize until I got home that they forgot, but at that point I said forget it. There have been other times they messed up ingredients, or not dipping the beef. This food is way too expensive for them to mess up like this. I keep giving them chances because I like it, but when come on. The worst part is I order through the app in advance, so it's not like they misheard something I said when ordering. You have printed instructions on what to make! People talk about Mickey Ds messing up orders, but I promise Portillo's is way worse. McDonald's food isn't better, but at least you know what you're getting.
