We waited a *very* long time for just a mediocre pizza. Two stars was because employees were friendly. The pizza on the other hand, well sad to say, we should have just grabbed on from Costco. Very poor.

I visited here on a Tuesday evening. It was very slow. There were 2 servers. But none of them came to ask for the order until half an hour. At some point I called them too. But they wouldn't come. But when the server finally came. I told him the place is very slow and still nobody came from half an hour, he just told me "if I have a problem to talk to the Manager". Very very bad service. Food is good.

My 1st trip to Chicago, so I was told I must do the Chicago deep dish pizza. I guess this place is very popular cuz it was PACKED to the hilt on a Wednesday evening lol Their mozzarella triangles were really good. I didn't care for the pizza sauce. It was very sweet to my personal liking. But, if you have the right company, it's not too bad.

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL VISIT THANKS TO THE TEAM AND ESPECIALLY RICHARD, I took one bite and, I kid you not, I almost whispered “mama mia” to my fork — but then I actually did. Out loud. Twice. The sauce didn’t just hug my taste buds; it wrapped them in a gooey, molten blanket of cheese and whispered, “Welcome home, sweetheart.” 🍅🧀
The crust at the bottom? A buttery, golden throne for all things delicious — flaky, rich, and just sinful enough to make me question my life choices (but only for a second). Every layer was like a love letter from Chicago itself: saucy, deep, and not afraid to get messy.
And that cheese pull? Let’s just say if commitment looked like mozzarella, I’d be married by now.
By the time I got to the last bite, I was emotionally compromised — full, euphoric, and maybe a little in love. Speaking of which… our server Richard? Yeah. Let’s just say he had a smile that melted faster than the cheese on that pie. Not gonna lie, I lingered a little longer when he asked how everything was.
10/10. Would deep-dish and blush again. 🍕💞

Years back (think 1990's), I had an opportunity to try Giordano's for the first time, and was delighted with the result. So, you can imagine when I was in Chicago recently (Oct 2025) that I was anxious to try another.
One word: Meh. I'm brought an absolutely fabulous LOOKING 20" pie (it wasn't the personal, next size up), in "Chicago style", with pepperoni, green peppers, onions and mushrooms. And took my first bite in a long while...
I wish I could say it was fabulously TASTING, but the experience left me unimpressed. Where was the flavor? The thick cheese seemed "unoriginal", lacking the delightful milkiness of a good mozzarella. Veggies? Good. Sauce? Nothing special. Crust? Decent.
After a fair pizza, small salad, drink and tip, a hefty $56+ dollar bill. Yikes. The pizza alone was $31. Seriously, if I'm gonna spend this kind of money, the food should be GREAT.
Your experience may differ, but I don't see myself returning. Not the memory I had, and too expensive.
