Hope Vinny's becomes the second follower to Total Wine as a national chain or moves to become the top ultimate strong local dominator (and owners sell out at retirement to national chain qhen they decades to retire).
- ALA LDec 18, 20251.0On Sunday, I visited this location and was assisted by an associate named Alex. He had just returned from his lunch break and turned on his register light. I asked if he was ready to take customers. He did not respond verbally but nodded, so I proceeded to place my items on the counter. Throughout the transaction, he gave me dirty looks, and when I asked questions about rewards, he refused to answer them. At the end of the transaction, I asked that the receipt be handed to me instead of placed in the bag. I specifically said, “Receipt with me, please.” He responded by saying the receipt would be in the bag anyway. He then threw the receipt into the bag and immediately moved on to the next customer. I was treated like absolute garbage. I was far kinder to him than he was to me—by a long shot. How is that acceptable? I am the customer. After this experience, I spoke with the store manager, Joe, regarding what occurred. He said he would resolve the issue, but I am not 100% sure that will happen. He did not seem very eager to resolve it. Until I know the situation has actually been addressed, I am leaving this review up to warn other customers. This is especially disappointing because I’ve had consistently lovely experiences at the Arlington Heights Benny’s location—just not at this one.
